  1. I was wearing a fake wedding ring set because mine didn't fit. Now 3 months post op, my original set fits and is starting to spin on my finger.
  2. Feeling comfortable in the folding sports chairs I use at my daughter's softball games. I am no loner hanging out the sides.
  3. I'm feeling good. I appear to be a slow loser so I am disappointed in my progress but I am just getting into the swing of getting enough protein so I am hoping it will start picking up soon. I still have not mastered eating slowly. But I've got the fluids thing down pat. And I just got a delivery of Gatorade Zero with protein today so I am hoping that will be a tasty addition to my daily intake.
  4. OH! No, he did have me take one for the 2 weeks I was on the antibiotics but none prior to that and none after.
  5. Daily but I really should stop because it is aggravating when the scale isn't moving.
  6. My surgeon did not do an EGD prior to surgery. I was also diagnosed with H-pylori when they biopsied my stomach tissue and had to do a 2 week run of antibiotics at 4 weeks PO. The antibiotics gave me reflux but once that was done I have not had any at all.
  7. Have you tried protein water? I prefer the protein20 but there is also premier protein water but I found that terribly sweet.
  8. My first attempt at chicken breast was awful. Last night I had a baked chicken thigh and it was sooooo much better. The thighs are dark meat (but not too dark) so they retain a lot more moisture. I couldn't even eat a whole thigh but it was good. I had it with a side of creamed spinach and the multiple flavors made it that much more enjoyable.
  9. You can do it. I quit 25 years ago and it was probably one of the best things I ever did for myself. I did it cold turkey and so can you!
  10. I am applying lotion all the time. It is awful. The worst is my back where i can't reach to put lotion. It itches something terrible.
  11. I haven't had cooked salmon yet but I have had smoked salmon and raw salmon. Neither made me sick but they did give me a ton of gas.
  12. I had sashimi (which is just a slab of raw fish) on Monday at 4 weeks PO. It was wonderful! I hear you can get sushi wrapped in cucumber instead of rice.
  13. I didn't get approval until 60 hours before my surgery. I was all scheduled and even paid my hospital co-pay and was on pins and needles waiting for the call.
  14. I gained 11 lbs in the hospital. It's just air and fluids. Give it time.
  15. Mine was Dr. Schmidt out of Hackensack.
  16. I am on day 15 of my week 3 stall. It's so disheartening. We just have to push through and follow the plan.
  17. We delayed my daughter's birthday dinner until Monday so I will at least be on soft foods. I told her to pick someplace with salmon on the menu for me. I felt it would just be too hard during puree. But as everyone said, get the soup. Either the clear miso or our local hibachi has a spicy egg drop soup. Egg drop soup was listed on my pureed menu specifically.
  18. I've read all about it I just didn't think it would last this long. I go for my 1 month check up on Wednesday and I am going to weight the same as I did on my 10 day. Just disappointing.
  19. I am 25 days PO and am currently afraid it isn't going to work. I dropped 20 lbs in the first 10 days and haven't lost a pound since. I am measuring and tracking everything, following my program and getting my fluids. I am hoping things start moving soon.
  20. I got Barimelts off amazon and started taking them 14 days PO as per my doctors instructions. I haven't had any issues.
  21. I, too, had an unknown hiatal hernia repaired during surgery. They essentially need to otherwise the food could get stuck. I would just be sure the surgeon knows ahead of time. Mine was surprised but acted as if it was no big deal.

I am with you. I am currently a 42/44 B. I have nursed 3 children for 15 months each and they were already deflated and dangling. Not sure what will be left after I've lost this weight. I'll be back to my 34/36 A from high school and college but droopy. Good thing my hubby is an "ass man".
