    a few questions

i was banded on july 18. at the time of surgery, i had lost 30 pounds on pre op diet. since the surgery i have only lost another 10. i have had two fills for a total of 3.5 units on a 15 cc band. i feel some discomfort with improperly chewed food, and i have minimal restriction. exercise has been less than needed due to long work schedule. im hoping this restriction thing happens soon, i havent lost much in the last two months, and still fighting food demons, even though it is still way better than before. would appreciate all advice and support.

    Drinking while eating

you all are lucky. my dr. reccomends no drinking for 2 hrs after eating. he explained that it takes 2-3 hrs for the food to digest, and this is for optimum results with staying full between meals. i thought this would be a huge problem because i drink so much, but its not that bad. drinking too soon is bad if your willpower isnt so great and you may be tempted to eat before next meal.
  5. i am almost 1 month post op, and all is well. i am 20 lbs down since surgery, and a total of 40 lbs since starting pre op diet on july 3rd. im back at work in the florida heat, and have not had any problems. i have had no food issues, and am trying to do the best i can considering i really dont feel that full feeling with the reccomended amounts, but they are a little more, 1200 to 1400 calories a day. is this normal to not have restriction before your first fill? i am not eating junk and bad food, which i know is important, and im still losing weight, i would just appreciate some support and input. thanks TONTY
