    Paxlovid and Gastric Bypass

I took it the 5 days and felt better the whole time I was on it. I'm 3 years out on my surgery. On the day after my surgery the nurses in the hospital had me taking giant horse pills. Thank goodness my brother was there (who just had the surgery 3 months earlier) and gave major push back. I hope your symptoms dissipate and you feel better soon.

    Fear of Post Surgery Body

Yes I have and I am honestly still dealing with it. So I went into therapy right before therapy fall of 2019, 2 months before surgery. It was a life saver! It had helped in so many other areas. RNY January 2020

    Locs/Dreads/Dreadlocks

Good afternoon, My SIL had a VSG, she didn't lose any hair at all. Her locs were baby locs less than 2 years old. My locs were about 3 inches past my bra strap. My locs started to thin a little at the root, so I changed from twisting them to interlocking. That made a little bit of a difference, I chose to cut my locs, now they are shoulder length. My thinning was hereditary and not caused my weight loss. That said, I keep up with my water and my protein to keep the hair loss to a minimum. Final answer, no you probably won't have to cut your locs unless you want to.

    Acid reflux AFTER Gastric bypass?

I'm sorry that you are having this issue. My SIL has the sleeve, and she has had horrible issues with reflux. She never had it before even with her 3 pregnancies. Before my surgery I had untreated Gerd for 9 years, they discovered it during the waiting period and put me on pepcid. It changed my life! He even went in and had to repair a 2 or 3cm intrusion in my stomach BEFORE doing my RNY. Well everything went great for 6 months, the GERD didn't return- but the loud, explosive (TMI) belching did. So I went back on pepcid and I take it daily. I have heard that RNY has helped several people but for me, it has reduced the acid greatly but NOT eliminated it completely. Good luck Sent from my SM-G975U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Coffee after gastric bypass

My surgeon's office said 1 to 2 cups were allowable a day. I'm an avid drinker. Went down from 4 cups down to 2. I add unflavored protein in both cups. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using BariatricPal mobile app
