    Having a down week...

I would say between 1100-1400 depending on what exactly you are doing with your exercise regime. Remember you need to make some time for your health in your day. Even if you have to do stairs, or jog in place, etc, your still moving. Be selfish if you have to. Belly dancing is a great form of exercise, I hope you enjoy it. Good luck, and chew slowly!

    cycle messed up?

I have read thatthe amount of fat affects estrogen. When you lose fat, our bodies hormone levels naturally change. When you lose fat fast eventually even out, especially once you start losing rapidly. I hope this helps, call your doc though if it doesnt change. Good luck!

    Strange Discovery

my only advice is for you to get a hold of your surgeon. You don't want to risk having an infection. I hope everything is okay, keep us posted.
  7. Sorry to hear of your difficulties. Are you following all the rules of the band, and exercising? Hope to hear your back on track, keep us posted. Good luck!
  8. First off let this be the start of your new band life. Don't look back anymore, look forward. You need to make a conscious effort to start following the rules of the band. Then you need to start incorporating exercise in your day. One thing you really need to do is make the band one of your most significant priorities. The band will make you happier, healthier, and perhaps better equipped to deal with the stressors in your life. Take it day by day, hour by hour if you have to. Just remember you have a whole family of supporters here to help. Anytime you need to talk email me, I will try my best to help you. The most important thing you need to know is you ARE worth it!

    What do they want???

They just don't want you to gain weight. They want to see that you can commit yourself and follow a diet program. Its one of those things where they think if they cannot follow a diet preop they will not do it post op. So I don't think there is a specific number to lose. Good luck

    Painful Yawns

I would just call your surgeon to cover your bases. Maybe just pulled at your port site, but to be sure I would call. Good luck!

    Define please

PBing mean productive burping and it is what happens if you eat something that cannot get past the band. Basically you just throw it back up. Sliming usually precedes pbing and it is when your body creates a lot of saliva in your mouth and mucus in your stomach to aid in throwing the stuck item back up.

    Port Pain

I definitely do not think that it is normal. Call your surgeon just to be safe. I hope everything works out, good luck!

Dr. Thomas Bass - No Problems

Glad to hear your surgery was so smooth! Keep up the good work!
  22. "How long does it take before the swelling and soreness subside?". The only answer to this question is everyone is different. I didn't feel 100% back to normal until 1 month post op, but some are back to normal after 3 days. My swelling went down about 2 1/2- 3 weeks post op, infact I could NOT wear jeans for 3 weeks, lol. I do hope your recovery is much faster! Good luck to you.

    Maybe I over did it?

I know my surgeon said to wait 5-6 weeks before doing really physical exercise. I started walking far before that though. Walking is a great way to start, swimming is also great but of course when you incisions heal! Good luck!
