    Does Everyone Vomit?

yes, when you pb or slime after having lapband it is not the same as throwing up. Its more like saliva with your foods compressed in it, because the food doenst actually hit your stomach yet.

    Recently banded-questions about diet

This is the phase we call bandster's hell. I guess you realize why they call it hell. lol. It sucks right now buwill be different very soon. Take it hour by hour and try to keep your mind on something else, like picking your new wardrobe when you meet your goal. Good luck and stay positive
  3. Gas x strips will be your best friend. I suggest you pick some up, hopefully they will help.

    Does Everyone Vomit?

Everyone one may not vomit, but everyone has at least one experience of food getting stuck. I have not come across anyone on here that has not thrown up. Not to scare you but it does happen.

    Should I be suspicious?

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I would definitely be cautious. It sounds sneaky so I would definitely keep my eyes very open.

    BMI too high for banding?

My BMI was 71 when I began my process. I weighed 415 lbs. My doc made me get under 400 lbs before he would do the surgery. He said that the bmi being so high makes surgery difficult but not impossible. keep your head up, there ARE doctors out there who will do it. Good luck to you.
  11. I had my first fill 7 weeks after surgery. Did not do much, went in three weeks after that. Good luck
  12. These things will not hurt your band. Let me tell your hiccups and burps will be a BIG part of your life now. I hiccup every day at least once a day, and thses hiccups are LOUD and obnoxious. lol

    Port location

It sounds as if my port is located similar to where yours is, except towards the left a little more. I think the location really depends on the surgeon.

    Want to swim!!!

I am not really sure about that but you could wear shorts in the pool over bathing suit, I somtimes do. Also what about a bathing suit coverup? Bask in the 80 lbs lost , be confident , that weight loss is amazing. Its a hard thing to do but strut your stuff, and if someone doesnt like it then thats there problem. Keep up the great work, and get out there and swim!

Yay! A Date Has Been Set.

Congrats!!!! As afr as the protein drinks I used carnation instant breakfast-sugar free, they were not that bad. I also still use the flinstone vitamins, they seem to work the best with me. Another thing you might want to try is gas x strips, they are dissolvable strips that will help you with the gas after surgery. Also bring a pillow for the ride home, going over bumps, is not fun, the pillow will help with that.
  16. take a breath , relax. Don't keep yourself up all night worrying, because that won't get you anywhere. Focus your attention on getting to that doctor tommorow, and discussing this. Please keep us updated. Feel better soon.

    Just had some pizza

I don't want to make you feel guilty but you need to definitely make sure you are watching the things you eat. It can be dangerous to jump from liquids to pizza. It is a very difficult time but remember to take it day b day. reward yourself wih a sugar free fudge icepop, or sugar free popsicle. You want to follow this as much as you can, that way you dont feel guilty, because that guilt can grab a hold of your success ( I have felt the guilt too). Good luck to you on this process.

    Who decides the fills?

usually you and your doc will discuss how things are going and that will decide how much of a fill you recieve. My surgeon has you wait at least two weeks after a fill to see if you need another one. You will also be able to tell the difference in your restriction. Good luck to you

    Just starting the process

There are pros and cons for anything but the way I looked at it was there were far more cons for staying overweight. Having the band was the best decision I ever made, I hope it will be the same for you. Good luck.
