hi yes its been a long time!!! I was banded2-13-09 and lost about 80 pds!!! I'm at 159 and would like to be at 145 i have not lost anything in a month!!!

Ankle weights really do work then tel them you have to go to the bathroom!! 10pds instently!

I am getting frustrated too!I had my 2nd fill 2 weeks ago and couldn't even swallow my own salvia and had to get a un-fill plus some because everything was so irratated so i have to wait a little bit for another fill and now i'm so hungrey!!! The dr said i'm sensitive to fills and he will have to do .5 cc instead of 2cc.

I WOULD TRY TO SEE DR MONASH !! I HAVE DEALT WITH BOTH OF THEM AND HE HAS WAY BETTER BEDSIDE MANNER AND DOES EVERYTHING HIMSELF LIKE CALLING YOU RIGHT BACK WHEN YOU HAVE QUESTIONS AND HE DOES HIS OWN FILLS. i JUST LOVE HIM!!

Dr. monash has the best bed side manor!!!You can call him anytime and he is right there!!!! Love him!!

I got my first fill today 4cc and i can finally feel something. I have to be careul not to drink to fast.I had Soup and did feel full pretty fast.

I have tricare prime and just had my surgery on the 13th. I will say it was a nightmare for me to get approved but don't give up.I appealed it twice al the way to the sec of defense and got approved.Don't let them give you the run around. Tricare says yOu have to be one hundred pds over weight according to the met life tables and one co-morbidity or 200% over your ideal weight !! its not as much as you think!! I was 5'4 and 235 so i met both requirements. if you need more info please feel free to contact me Good luck

I was also allowed full pills the day after surgery. No problem.

I was banded on 2/13 and a can eat anything to.I have to say i'm really feeling hungery !!I have to wait until march 12 to get a fill.I'm feeling really good two weeks out except this feeling under my left rib ,the dr said my diaphram is irriatated from surgery?It feels like a pulled muscule??

I was banded on the 13th and i'm feeling your pain!!!!!!!I'm on muchies and i'm still hungery.I have only lost 7 pds the first weekand gained 1 this week my first fill is on march 12th!!

I really need to get into a shedule.I work full time and i am going to school. I have a 3 year old and a thirteen month old. The problem is i have keep trying to go for walks every afternnoon (it was 90 yesterday) but my 3 year old gets stopping on has bike and he other is crying in the jogging stroller ,so i feel like i'm not getting a workout when i keep stopping!!!

My mom just had surgery for this.No pepper, seeds,berries,popcorn,tomatoes,nuts(really bad),corn etc.....It gets stuck in the pocets causeing inflamation and attacks.

As a hairstylist i would tell you that surgery will afeect you big time 6-9 months after. thyrid levels,protein,biotin and there are products called nioxion that really help. Good luck

I lost 8 pounds 1 week post -op but now that i'm on muchies ive gained 2 pounds !!!! I have been very careful not to eat so much ,this is very frustrating and my first fill is not till march 12th!!!!!

That feeling yur getting is from drinking to fast . I had the same feeling !!I was drinking Protein Drinks pudding and popcicles 3 days out ,what are you allowed?I'm at day 7 and i had mashed potatoes and that filled me up in a couple bites.

yes the gas is horrible i was taking 2 gas-x strips every couple of hours and walking alot !!!I'm six days out and feeling alot better!!!

hi , I'm six days post op and i am fine to go back to work.I think as long as your up moving the first few days your fine. I am a hair stylist and booked my self all day and feeling ok. good luck!! ginnie

I was banded on the 13th and i'm hungery!!!!! I still have alot of gas pains but i have been trying to walk it out.Its really hard not picking up my little ones!!!Is everyne still taking pain meds?

Hi, I was banded on the 13th!! I'm so hungery. today i was allowed creamed Soups and pudding but i still feel hungery, how am i going to make it 3 weeks unti my first fill!!! Tomorrow i'm going to try Protein pudding!! i'm hoping the gas pains will go away soon!! good luck bandsters!!! ginnie

i was banded on friday the 13th. Im feeling ok .the first night in the hospital i walked all night threw the halls and today i'm really feeling sore from the gas pains and i had a reaction ti the antibiotics my face is all red and swollen. I am still really hungrey broth and Protein Shakes are not doing it.

i just got home today, i was banded on the 13th!!! i'm feeling really good , i was up all night walking because of the vicodin made me really hyper.I'm so hungry chicken broth and Jello is not doing it for me. i'm so tired today ive been dosing on and off all day!!! gd luck to everyone its really not that bad!! ginnie

i did find them at GNC on base and they said to try to make Jello with them !! Sounds good if they will set up!!!!

i'm feeling the same way with the last supper syndrome!!! I have been waiting for so long to have this surgery and i want to totally start a new way of eating a new healthy life on friday the 13th so this week i have been eating like crap like a final goodbye or something crazy like that (i dn't have a pre-op diet) but anyway im so excited to feel full after a normal portin sometime in the next few weeks....months.....
