  1. Happy 30th Birthday AngelFish83!

  2. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary AngelFish83!

  3. I did not have the same experience as you, but I know that my Dr. put me on a plan before my surgery, and before I was approved I had lost about 20lbs. BMI is not the only factor that they consider when making the decision whether or not to cover your surgery. As long as you have the statement from your doctor stating the medical necessity of the surgery, and the other criteria I would go full steam ahead. Good Luck! :cursing:

    Am I Alone?????

Depending on their BMI and other stats, those 75 lbs could be significantly affecting their health. Don't forget how unique our chemistries really are. We all need a little help sometimes. :cursing:

    How late is too late?

My name is Angela and I'm a Lap-Band flunkie. I got my band a little more than a year ago and started off well. However a lot of life changes happened very quickly (marriage, moving, career shifts etc) and I haven't made time for any adjustments! Now living in VA I have to find a dr and have a consultation about my first adjustment. I have been able to sustain about 30lbs of weight loss, but is it too late for me? Any advice / support would be appreciated.:cursing:
