    December 2020

That’s how a lot of places are, I’ve found. I lnow you said your town doesn’t do Uber, but my surgeon says you can’t be driven home by one anyway. I guess they want to make sure whoever is taking you home is paying attention to you. Who knows! Won’t be too long now!

    December 2020

Hey all! I should have a December date as well. Hoping to have it this week! My surgery is outpatient, though they can admit if you have issues or complications. I’m kind of glad because I just feel so much more comfortable at home. Basically surgery is in the AM and you stay until the PM and then go home. I’m ready to get this done.

    That much closer...

Congrats on finally getting cleared! I'm in the waiting stage as well. All my stuff has been cleared and insurance approved, but they are so behind they aren't even scheduling for 3-4 weeks. Its likely going to be late December or early January.

    I'm Doing It!

I have had a few food funerals too. Mexican, and a milkshake. I stopped them because I wanted to create my good habits now, to keep them going after. My ex-sil had gastric bypass. She did very well and lost a lot of weight, but she stalled really hard because they ate the same things. Fast food, cheeseburgers...just she ate a quarter of it instead of the whole thing. I’m definitely wanting to avoid all those things anyway! Im nervous how to get by with the liquid diet at work, without having to tell people. We eat all together, so they will notice I’m not eating solid food. I’m not sure what to say when they ask, and they will because we all can be some nosy b’s. 😂😂.

    I'm Doing It!

Yes it is! I avoid most politics and news anyway lol. Especially right now. I check in when I need to, and let the rest go! It’s so stressful! Metformin is the devil. Lol. I took it for insulin resistance (I have pcos). I’m on an insulin pump for diabetes anyway, so I switched to taking trulicity for the IR part. Metformin made me so sick all the time. Some people say they have success with the extended release kind but I always took the normal kind. Maybe that was the problem. Hopefully your pre-op appt went well!!!

    I'm Doing It!

Congratulations! I’m in the pre-op phase too. I’m all done with my pre-op stuff, but they are behind with Covid. So it will probably be December for me. Ugh I want it to hurry up! The more I wait, the more I panic. I did want to say, the testing for H. Pylori was apart of my pre-op and initial labs. So I would check and make sure it wasn’t included?? Just a suggestion. One of my family members had H.Pylori and she was miserable. Oh it was so awful! I hope that it isn’t it!
