I see my Surgeon on the 3rd. I am going to ask if I can have my surgery in December. Lol. I have to go to California to see my son for Thanksgiving thia year.

I gor my sleeve done on the 15th. Have been nauseous off and on sense. It sucks but my surgeon gave me meds to help. The problem now is things are way to sweet or the smell of any kind of meat. Ugh

So who else has been delayed because of the increase in Covid case?? Really wish people would just stay home or wear a mask. I know this sounds selfish but I am really bummed. My surgery was scheduled for Nov 23. But here I sit still waiting and it could be another 4 weeks because of people going visiting for Christmas. I know that the hospital is the last place a healthy person should be but I have worked so hard to meet the qualifications and 3 days before surgery I was cancelled. This sucks.

I am scheduled for 23rd. My nurse called me to let me know they MIGHT cancel the surgery but they dont know yet. Ugh.

Congratulations!!! I’ve been very nervous. Thank you for posting! I’m scheduled for the 23rd (Monday). So happy for you that you’re through!!! Let’s hang in there through this life change together! Keep us posted how you’re doing. Congratulations again!!!

Oh man. Fingers crossed for both of us! I’m at Providence as well. Hospital told me yesterday, we should know more after the weekend and that they really need the cases to start going back down to continue with surgeries. Good luck to you!!!

Hi everyone! I just found out yesterday that my surgery date is November 23rd. OMG!! So excited and nervous at the same time. I am mostly nervous about the two week liquid diet. From what I understand (I will find out more tomorrow) it will be Protein Shake for Breakfast and lunch, lean and green for supper. Would anyone like to share their tips on how to get through these two weeks? I will be starting on November 9th. Thanks in advance!

Mine was quite beneficial. I had to do some paper tests and fill out forms, but then we had a discussion. She helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses and helped me see what I needed to do to be successful. She also talked about transfer addiction, and how to find comfort and release of stress without the aid of food or other addictions. We talked about strategies for dealing with anxiety and stress. I found it to be actually very helpful and I still think about some of the things we discussed.

I have only told my daughter my husband and my mom. I tried talking to a good friend about it but apparently she was waiting for me and had a long list of why this is a bad idea. Kind of a good thing I have a hernia so I just tell people that is why I am having the surgery.

I have my last appointment with the nutritionist on the 21 of October. Hoping to get a surgery date soon after. November would be awesome.
