  1. about as good as MINE :cursing: fly me there (and my 3 kids) and I'll clean :huh2: teri
  2. I'm waiting until i get closer to my date, to go get some library books. I love to read but have trouble concentrating on it with my twins running around. Teri
  3. If they are a center of excellence, I'd feel pretty good about going there. teri
  4. I used Alli. I lost it in 2 and a half weeks. Teri
  5. I thought about making some lasagna for my family before i started mine. That's one of my favorite meals. teri
  6. post op. Seriously If I don't have food in my hands, I used to go crazy. So I'm now Knitting up a storm. Anyone want a scarf? LMAO. I've always been a crafter, but I need to keep my hands really busy now. That and I've been cleaning up a storm since I started this journey. Spring cleaning in August... works for me. Teri
  7. I'm thinking of a male name. Why? because you either REALLY love them, or REALLY hate them (from a woman's point of view). And when he's acting up, I'll say he's pms-ing, I tell my father and oldest son that all the time. Maybe Andy... my ex, was really fickle. And I hear the band can be that way. Teri
  8. My dr uses both the allergan and the realize, and somehow knows which to use on each patient. I got the impression he thinks I'll get the allergan. Won't know for sure until I have my surgery. Teri
  9. Have you checked with the insurance compnay that you'll have at your new employer? they may cover it over such a bmi. That would be definitely worth staying where you are weight wise. My office had a policy you had to loose 5% of your weight (13 pounds for me), and I'm high enough bmi, with comorbidity issues, that it wasn't an issue. good luck with your decision. teri
  10. It does feel good having other names next to yours, and know you're not doing this alone. I have two with mine. I'd love to get to know them. Teri
  11. yea throwing up woud be a bad thing. Yes my sister is overweight. She had an RNY, lost TONS of weight, got down at one point to 89 pounds, and gained it ALL back. She's bigger than me now. Teri
  12. Oh trust me I haven't come this far to let her stop me. She wanted me to abort the twins, and well they're 2 and a half years old now. She wanted me to give my oldest son to her to raise... and well he's sitting next to me right now. I love my kids, and I love my family, I just don't like her right now. And that's ok. Funny thing is I used to eat like crazy when i was this upset... not now. Course I've knitted nearly half a scarf today  teri
  13. Can an oneonta lady join here? teri
  14. my dad will come around, but my sister is really getting to me. I've spent the last two hours changing passwords everywhere I go. Plus closing and deleting my blog. Because she is reading it and criticing all I am writing. Even joined obestityhelp.com to stalk me. Teri
  15. My drs said it was ok pre and post op. Good thing too, cuz i'm totally addicted. Teri
  16. I'm torn. I want so many things. I want to be able to walk in any store and try on clothes. I want so bad to be able to ride carnival rides, without getting stuck in the ride. I want so bad to be pretty enough to turn a head or two when I walk in. I want to feel good about myself. Funny thing is, just loosing what I had to preop has that feeling starting. I want to not need diabetes meds. I want to feel free. Not feel like my fat will stop moving sooner or later when I have to move fast (which is often with twin 2 yr olds). I don't want to be the fat friend. I'm tired of that title. Teri
  17. I think if we're all honest, we'd all admit to these feelings. I know right now they run my life. Pretty badly right now. Some of my friends are semi supportive, my bf isn't. He doesn't change, and he won't be my bf. Period! I have one that is scared she's gonna be the "fat friend" now. I've been bigger than her weight wise for years. But I carry it better than she. She wears a size 24, I wear an 18 now. But I weigh 20 pounds more. Not for long! I think the only person real negitive about it is my father. He actually told me I'd fail. That makes me so damn angry. teri
  18. I didn't have to have a stress test. My ekg was absolutely text book normal. I had to have all the "big" tests done before they'd schedule me. I may have some last minute blood work but beyond that< I don't think I'll have to do anything more. Good luck with the studies. Teri
  19. They think they'll be fixing one for me too. Teri
  20. I see my anesthesiologist next week... but my surgery isn't until September 16th. I'm teri. I'm a single mom of three great boys. I've had numerous tests and surgeries. This is the first for me. Not a necessarity. I hope to need plastics in a year or two. Teri
  21. It's new here in NY that they let you go home the same day. Yes I do have my mom and dad helping out, and my 11 yr old is pretty handy when he needs to be. Teri
  22. absolutely no way I'll regret it. Just a little bit worried about my 3 kids. I have one with cerebral palsy, that is mom dependent. I already have diabetes, and lots of aches and pains. I've had other issues, relating to my weight, but they fortunately are mild. The dr said with my sugar being so well controlled with diet and byetta, I should be able to go off all medication for that. I'd love to stay in touch with you MissBS. However you may hate me, but I don't have to do the 3 week diet. I have to do a 2 day colon cleanse before the surgery. Not horrible. Teri
  23. I tell just about anyone who will listen! I think it makes me more accountable. teri
  24. wow great post... but why bring a fork? we'll be on liquids teri
