OMG, this is really happening!

I just spoke with the nice lady at Lap-Band Solutions and my bloodwork & EKG has already been faxed over from my PCP (I had it done yesterday at noon!).

That means that Monday the coordinator will call to set up pre-op & surgery appointments!! Holy Crap...thats 3 days away!

I can't even begin to describe the feeling of sheer joy that I have. I might explode come Monday!!

I can't wait to meet all of you fellow September Samuris!! :P

Congrats! I just got my phone call that I was approved, and all healthy for it wednesday, and today I got the scheduling phone call. Great work... and good luck on your journey.

Way to go. You are almost there.

I just had my preop exam and blood work. I was so afraid my Dr would say no, but I am on my way. Everything is going so fast now. I have my Psyc Exam next week and then everything is finished up with my EKG and Nutritionist appoints.

Okay, did you get plain treadmills or the fancy "echo heart - three stage - oh my god what are they going to do to me" test? I can't even say those words. But I guess first they make me sweat then I get to rest then they do tests. EEEKkkk - now I am afraid.

I didn't have to have a stress test. My ekg was absolutely text book normal. I had to have all the "big" tests done before they'd schedule me. I may have some last minute blood work but beyond that< I don't think I'll have to do anything more.

Good luck with the studies.

I'm self-pay, so I only had to have the surgeon required tests...no insurance hoops to jump through.

I had a physical, EKG, and bloodwork (CBC, Lipidpanel, TSH, etc).

my doctor didn't give me a stress test...ekg was normal...but on june 16th, i started having chest pains...had been having them for a while, got scared enough to go...packed up stuff for overnight, cause i work there and knew they would keep me overnight...they did...so that was when i got the stress test...i think i lasted right at 7 minutes, i was impressed...but it was negative, so i am not mentioning it to my WLS doctor...don't want anything to postpone this....been over 6 months as it is...since it was negative....
