So put on your big girl undies and lets get er done! YOU GOT THIS

Btw I have seen many here fall off the good road and get back on it and get back to healthy you are not alone it is common. I am coming up to that dreaded two year mark and i guess its common to mess up around that timeline so I most likely will screw up to.

@Mr Alley Gator - how much of it do you go through? It looks huge on the screen, but is only one ounce, so I am curious how many jars it would take...? I tend to scar poorly, so I am interested in this thread as well.

I used one jar over a week on my incisions just touch a q tip to it and rub it on every other day

This is the one I use every day my dermatologist prescribed this one

  4. I highly suggest you wait you are going to go thru a lifestyle change and one of the bumps are head games. The last thing you need during this journey is bullshit and feedback from Social media. This is you time do not let others ruin it for you. Down the road you may be ready but it is a journey and i see nothing in social media that can help you on this journey, all I see is trolls and idiots messing with you

  5. Not 3 years but as a Fellow Floridian wanted to help you

    Lost 177 in 8 months

Complications: Really none a little heart burn and i get crabby at times when i can not drink

Cravings - White Russians and I now eat what i crave but I eat differently, One thing you will realize is your taste buds will change and your tastes will change a little

But you are on the right place for information

Has anyone else ever encountered this? What can I do to change it? Why is there so much social stigma towards this surgery?

Let me start by saying I have seen this a ton on here, People are mean by nature Not all but some. People are jealous and tend to talk out there ass. You have changed your life for the better that is what is key! Stay clear of the toxic people and enviroments, They killed this above so not going to harp on it, one thing i found was doing new things allowed me to meet new people. For example I joined a MC club and new nobody i never mentioned I had surgery and at huge cook outs i would just pick saying not really hungry. Met new friends and a few of them know now what i did but really do not judge

People Suck at times so just become Ice b***h and do not let it bother you, who cares what others think or say.

    You got this

  7. Above killed it BUT WAIT there is more .....

I also BBQ and compete in many cooking compititons both BBQ and other. I also love a good drink and cheese?

So where in the Sleeve Manual does it say you cant have a piece of cheese, Yes it says Not a block of cheese! Where does it say you cant still cook? It doesn't In fact I love cooking now even more! I actually just tried out for GGG - Guys Grocery Games Tv Show. Just waiting for Covid to end so they can set a date. Oh yea i had my Vodka drink last Saturday all was good

What I am trying to say is they are giving you a tool - Not taking your life away.

The decision whether to have the surgery or not is a very big decision because once you have the surgery you can't exactly go back and change your mind..

Above says it all - I just said one day lets get thin - Called a Doc in my area set up a appointment - Pulled out a ton of cash - and 8 days later I was sleeved. Was this the best approach probably not but i new if i did not get this done i would be dead soon. I looked around at my kids and my life and said you are a lazy overweight unhealthy male who already did a Trip thru a cardiac ward. You have no choice

So I did it. You husbands concern is really something special you guys have, but it is a very safe surgery and not a lot of down time. I was in at 9 am and out at 10 am the next day. Back to work the same day.

You have to really look at the pro's and Cons - If you have tried every diet and fad out there and it doesnt work maybe this will be the tool to help you? But one thing i did not realize its a whole lifestyle change. The days of slamming down subs and wings and pizza are over. You will be limited on quantity and keep hydrated and nutrition are a F@#ckin project for me on a daily basis.

So would i do it again if I had the chance? 100% YES - beats being in a URN
