My biggest fear is it won't work...

Good. No turning back now. Stay focused, and most importantly, recovery is temporary. You'll feel normal soon!!!

My biggest fear is it won't work...

7 weeks out and doing great, but I still fear the worst. I expect it all to stop. Lol. I will continue to do what they tell me. When I'm down 100, hopefully I'll believe. Lol
  4. Very few things could have stopped me. Covid wouldn't even be a consideration for me.

    Post Op Penis Size

    Lol
  6. I just had it done at 52, after 40 years of losing and gaining. I had my chance to do it on my own. I could always lose large amounts of weight, but it came back EVERY time. The though of one more starvation diet made me literally depressed. The cycle wasn't going to change.
  7. I pureed egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad. Cottage cheese and oikos triple zero as well. All have good protein, and got me through the puree stage.
  8. Yep. This is my struggle as well. I'm full right now. One or two bites to many is all it takes. I have so much trouble eating slowly. Ugh...I'm afraid I'm stretching my sleeve sometimes.

    November 2020 sleevers

Yep. The stalls suck. The weight fell off for a few weeks. Now, at 6 weeks out, its slow. In fact, its become the slowest I've ever lost weight. Not sure if I'm in a stall or have become a slow loser. Either way, I'll stay the course.
  10. Youll be fine. Mine was at 3 pm. Talk about cruel and unusual. Lol. Once you check in, it moves along quickly. Before you know it, its over. Not much pain for me, and I was able to walk from recovery to my room, no problem. I was amazed at just how good I felt. Do what they tell you and you'll be home before you know it. Once home, don't over do it as far as bending and lifting, but walk all you can. Good luck!

    LGBTQIA?

I thought I found a forum without these kinds of discussions. I'm a gun guy. I don't want a gun group here. Obviously, just an example. We are all here because we have had, are contemplating, or are in the process of of a weight loss surgery. Thats it. I love this forum because we are all different, but the same. In this age of political everything, I for one, enjoy the rare unity that seems to prevail here. I just think the idea is counterproductive. I love reading everybodys advice, experiences, stories, and opinions. For me, it brings all of us together, without any labels. I personally need a place like this. We all do right now.

    Dealing with Co-Workers and Friends

I agree. I kept it quiet at first. Except from family. I just didn't want to answer 1000 questions. After surgery I told close friends and coworkers. I did it and own it. I pre answered a lot of the questions I thought folks might have, and it is working out well. Just moving on with my life.

    Finally got my date!

Wrap your head around the whole thing. Any issues you may have, will pass quickly. I cant believe I'm almost six weeks out. Concentrate on doing exactly what they tell you to do. Congratulations and good luck!!!
  15. I think I gained an inch.

    Spoke to surgeon now waiting

I had surgery two weeks after I was approved. Less actually. I started my preop diet on a Monday and was approved on that Wednesday. They got me in a week and a half later. They were excellent.

    Stomach "growling"

It will get better. Keep walking and it will pass. I had those stomach spasms for about a week. They will pass. I'm 5 weeks out and feel great. It will pass!!
  19. Thats a great post. I pounded that into my own head, as I was pretty worried about the recovery.
