    Afraid to eat

Vernocia, We have to believe that it gets better.....today was a little better than yesterday at least I am able to tolerate clear liquids....I just keep reminding myself why I am doing this...for better health am diabetic and have high bloodpressure....this was done to prolong my life. Keep the faith and keep in touch we were done so closely together it will be nice to share the journey. Gail

    Afraid to eat

Thanks and the information and support are much appreciated. MD was thinking of readmitting me yesterday but after doing the barium swallow again decided that it was not necessary as fluids are passing though the band without difficulty. I guess alot of this is in my head...doing better today but still need to take more. Clear liquids is all I have even attempted
  6. I was banded on August 19th am forcing myself to take water (and not doing a good job at it.) I am so afraid to put anything into my mouth. The bloating and gas are intense and have been walking and taking gas-x to relieve some of it. In past 48 hours have only taken in about 16 oz of water - which I know is not enough. Doing a little better toda but was wondering if anyone else had this fear as well. :confused2: Thanks in advace for your input.
  7. Hi just wanted to introduce myself....I am 50 years old have had weight issues my entire life. Just completed my nutritional visit, sleep study and psych clearance. I hope to have my next appointment with my surgeon in the next two weeks and if all goes well get the date for banding at that point. I am excited and nervous at the same time. Looking at the diet after banding I wonder if I can do it....tried to follow the diet but soon realized it was like going out in a rowboat but leaving the oars behind...I didn't have the tool to succeed ..... at this point I am practicing eating slower and not having drinks with my meals...both will be a challenge......but I am ready for this...... I think. Looking forward to getting to know some of you as I join this journey....
