I’m sure the energy will be back in time for the hikes. I’m not worried about the carb/ fat so much, The exercise will cancel it out. I’ll take a lot of trail mix and just nibble all day.

Thanks everyone. I’m really looking forward to it, I’ve always loved nature and bush walking so to be able to do it and not nearly die on a short incline will be amazing!

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has done any multi day hikes after their WLS? I am planning a couple for early next year and curious if there were any issues getting the Water or cals needed for a trip like that. Any tips appreciated -

No you're not, not one little bit. You love that you've been super successful and now you've forgotten what it was like the hundreds of times you tried to lose weight and failed pre WLS. You forget too easily that you had to have an entire organ bypassed from your digestive tract to get you where you are today. Don't forget, have compassion and empathy.

A true friend will support you even if they don't totally understand everything you do. We need a new term for those people who like spending time with you but disappear when the going gets tough....maybe "Social buddies"? Sounds like your "friend" is a social buddy instead. A true friend wouldn't worry about what you can and cannot eat, instead they should be proud of you that you are trying to take control of your life and health! Good luck and remember you have true friends to commiserate with here!
Thank you! Yes, i agree.. she's never really been one to rely on. Onward and upward

I am 6 weeks on thursday too! We're sleeve twins
Thank you, I thought this might be the case. It just surprised me since everyone else who knew i was having it done was really supportive, even my brothers who have never said a kind word to me

Freezing, all the time!
I can't seem to warm up, especially my hands. I wear my puffer jacket in my office all day!

Hi everyone!
I had my sleeve 6 weeks ago and have lost 17kg... i'm currently in a stall but that's another matter, it'll fix itself i'm sure
I was just wondering if anyone here has someone they're close too who has been unsupportive of their WLS? What did you do about it? Have you lost any friends?
I have a friend who has had nothing positive to say about the surgery at all, just talks about how i will never be able to eat anything and i'll be vomiting all the time after my 2 teaspoons (which is completely untrue).

I had this post sleeve too, I'm only 2 months out and still get dizzy sometimes if i get up too fast but it has gotten heaps better. More fluids was the key for me, i added some sports electrolyte tabs (wait until they aren't fizzy anymore before drinking) to my Water which helped too. I also needed to not move around too much immediately after eating anything.
