  1. I just have an internal conversation where I remind myself that these foods are only off limits for a small amount of time, and I need to hang in there right now so that I can heal properly and enjoy these foods I want right now for the rest of my life. Logic helps me be less emotional.
  2. I’m a bypass person. So sick of some of the bitterness but high hopes about a month out!! Did you have bypass also? When? How are you doing?
  3. If you’re female, it could also be estrogen from your fat in its way out, I imagine that might affect men too, but definitely a problem for women myself included.
  4. Oh wow mine was very insistent that all long acting had to be immediate release. I’m hoping it will be at my one month post-op that I can take regular pills. ?
  5. I am taking Wellbutrin 3 times a day crushed and it is so gross I can’t stand it! I hope that I am able to take pills again at my one month post op. My depression is certainly worse and I’m thinking I’m going to go get a ketamine infusions liner rather than later.
  6. Thank you! Man it’s awful! I’m less than 1 month away from true menopause,…..watch me get it! Grrrrr! I already feel like PMS 24/7. I wish my program told me about this!! Geez!!
  7. I really think that it takes a lot of strength to go either way. I have mostly been straight with mine different groups and they have told me how wonderful it’s been for someone they know. I have had the unique experience of having renal cancer surgery to take out part of my kidney and then by bypass. With mental illness obesity and height -there is still shame and stigma. Anyone who says it a cheat or a quick fix -I immediately ask them how they came to that conclusion considering it makes life very different for the person who gets surgery, that their digestive system is rerouted and that success demands a significant change in lifestyle. I tell them I am very interested in knowing their why? Usually gets the point across. I learned a long time ago to just flat out lie about depression and anxiety because you would be treated more kindly if you said you had cancer, after having both simultaneously I can say this is true. I love when bigger people are happy in their own skin and it doesn’t cause them health issues or body image issues as long as we are not glorifying either extreme is what I’m after. How about we glorify normally average ?
  8. I’m just really having a rough time lost surgery with keeping my emotions stable and some anxiety about no being able to lose weight despite the surgery, afraid I’m messing up how it ways to eat! I just don’t know if I can do this I’m losing my grip over here. My friend said when you start to lose you lose a bunch of fat releasing estrogen and it makes you feel crazy. True?
  9. I had mine on Tuesday and I’m feeling completely overwhelmed and defeated also. now I have to swallow a bunch of shitty powdered meds that taste horrible hoping the day takes a better turn hugs to all of you going thru same. Xoxo
  10. Just had mine 27 April and I’m home now and first day on my own and I’ve finally slept. Nurses were awful about keeping up with pain meds so I had to set timers to wake up or ask every 3.75 hrs to ask for meds. woke up this morning for weighing in and I’m up 7.5#. How is this possible? I’m also very depressed today. ?
  11. What the hell? I hope your wife gets better, but wishing other people complications is not nice.
