100g would be just about spot on for your height. You can do nitrogen tests to get an idea of your protein requirements. The idea is to be in barley positive nitrogen balance.

Pckeys reacted to RainbowBrite57 in Morning of mishaps & a happy dance
Last Monday I had my final dietician appointment & my paperwork was submitted for insurance approval. I was told it would be 2 weeks before I knew anything.
So, I wake up this morning in terrible pain with my back completely locked up. I have no choice but to call in to work. I end up leaving a voicemail so I’m waiting for my boss to call me back. That’s when I noticed the accident my pup had on the floor (stupid bladder cancer 😞). I’m trying to gently get down on the floor but my slippers end up forcing me into a very awkward version of the splits. (ouch!) Now I’ve got my hand full of tinkle-soaked paper towel, while doing the splits, when my phone rings. I don’t recognize the number but it’s 7:30am so it has to be my boss. I answer & it’s not my boss, it’s the surgeon’s office. The lady says very blasé “I’m calling to let you know your surgery has been approved, congrats.” I proceed to internally freak out & start doing a happy dance, or I guess I should say happy wiggle since I’m still doing the splits. 😄 I try to remain calm & take in everything she’s saying since I can’t take notes because I’m still holding tinkle-soaked paper towel! I finally get off the phone, ungracefully remove myself from the floor, WASH MY HANDS, then I do a proper happy dance all over the house!!! (to the extent my back will allow, anyway)
This was my very long way of saying I’VE BEEN APPROVED, Y’ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he/she didn't sound mean to me at all. They were just explaining that the pain wouldn't be coming from fat. You're reading too much into it. Which can sometimes happen when people communicate in writing (texts, emails, etc).

Pckeys got a reaction from RainbowBrite57 in Apollo Protein?
I always avoid any powders or drinks that are sweetened with Acesulfame Potassium (Ace-K) or Sucralose. Although both dont act to increase blood glucose, they do act at the pancreatic level to increase insulin.
So measuring blood glucose will see no apparent increases, but insulin levs will be elevated.

Your lack of Water intake seems based more on fear than anything else.
So think about this... it take 2 - 4 grams of water to mobilize 1 gram of fat (this is the real reason it is drummed into every bariatric patient to GET YOUR FLUIDS). If you DONT get enough Fluid, you will severely hamper your ability to mobilize/lose adipose tissue - with the added bonus of ending up in hospital from dehydration. CHANGE your habits, that's the only thing keeping you from getting enough fluids.

we were told to stick to whey Protein isolate early out because it's the most easily absorbed, and many of us needed the shakes to meet our protein goals (I sometimes use protein blends now that I'm in maintenance, since I get most/all of my protein from my food). Anyway, Apollo is a blend - so if you were told to have whey protein isolate, this won't work for you - or at least while you're early out.

Pckeys got a reaction from ms.sss in Intermittent fasting
You first have to define what YOU mean by intermittent fasting.
Do you mean time restricted feeding where you still eat each day but within a small time window of 6 - 8 hours?
Do you mean Water fast only beyond 24 - 48 hours? or a 5 day eating/2 day fasting schedule? These are all very different beasts with very different considerations.

Pckeys reacted to catwoman7 in Weight loss stall of 10 days
Just stick to your plan. I never did anything different during stalls - I just stuck to my plan. Stalls are going to happen along the way - they happen to almost all of us. It'll break. Stay off the scale if you have to.
P.S. Stalls usually last 1-3 weeks, so 10 days is very normal.

My concern was the fact I’ve always been very high and have lower energy lately. Found interesting article re: WLS, Leptin levels and heart rate:

Pckeys got a reaction from 1GardenGirl in Beginning BMI 35 or under
Those with a BMI under 35 but with one or more comorbidities such as hypertension/CVD/dyslipidemia/diabetes or other metabolic syndrome related issues are very often considered good candidates for WLS.
I, like many here, started at under 35 BMI but with hypertension and pre-diabetic hyperinsulinemia. Weight does tend to come off more slowly with those of us that started with BMI less than 35

Pckeys got a reaction from GreenTealael in What actually makes the liver shrink?
I dont know what the "desired" size is for surgery, but the "normal" size of an avg weight person along transverse diameter is 20-23 cm or less than 16 cm in the midclavicular line ... but 21 cm is a meaningless number if you dont know if this is the traverse length or midclavicular line

Lower insulin levs are what allow the liver to start releasing all the stored glycogen (glucose). Higher insulin levs are also responsible for Water retention (which is actually a result of kidneys reabsorbing/holding onto sodium). This is why a lower insulin lev as a result of caloric restriction will see a lot of water weight lost (its the sodium being excreted)

Pckeys got a reaction from copado in Must haves for a pre-grocery shop.
So I was sleeved exactly 2 weeks ago and many of the things I bought in preparation have gone untouched or I just dont like them anymore. You'll read that many peoples taste preferences change, that may not happen to you, but there is no point in buying a heap of stuff until you know you can tolerate it or like.
There are of course a few staples that most people do ok with aside from a Protein Shake, a good quality Bone Broth would be next on my list for the first week or so. Yogurt is another, cottage cheese... then eggs as we progress... I skipped the whole jello/pudding fiasco since I'm not a fan of encouraging a sweet tooth (thats not to say it wont work for you.)
Brisk walking was not a problem for me even 3 or 4 days out. Jogging on the other hand is not on the horizon for me anytime soon. I suspect this is going to be dictated more by the incisions rather than the sleeve since those are felt with any movement far more than your sleeve is.
Biggest problem for me has been getting a good nights sleep, I have insomnia at the best of times and always sleep on my side. Some can do that very early on, for me I get a weird pulling sensation when on my side.
    Best of luck.
