I'm not real big on Before/After pics....as in I haven't posted a single one yet. So this is the first one! Also - who else prefers Before/During pictures since I never really consider myself an "After"?
Officially to my own personal goal weight (about 75 down) after almost 8 months. Dr told me to expect to lose 65-75 over 18 months - so I'll take it!
Wedding pictures - before was after I had already lost 30 pounds. Same dress - different color - plus 4 sizes smaller!

I came across probably the only picture I have of me at my highest weight (the day after my VSG surgery in 2013). I'm pretty sure I deleted all the others. I avoided the camera for many years. So I put them side by side with my revision surgery (9/2019) and me at my current weight. It really opened my eyes though. And while I still might not be "skinny" I'm finally happy. It took awhile to get here. I didn't ever get down to my goal weight with VSG. I was more concerned with getting the weight off and keeping it off without regaining. And I would always either lose weight or maintain. Now that I know I can keep the weight off, I can finally focus on my goal weight. I'd be perfectly happy only losing another 20ish lbs. My goal was never to be super skinny but to be healthy and able to keep up with my son. To take him camping, hiking and fishing every summer like I did as a kid. Every time I see this picture at my largest I'm still shocked I was ever that size.

Been a while since I have been on this forum and so much has changed-in a good way! I reached my (adjusted) goal weight. I went back to school. I have a new career (as a baiatric-focused personal trainer) and I'm excited about my future. Although lots has been derailed because of the virus, the accomplishments are still there and my business will thrive once the fitness industry is able to rebound. For now, I do my coaching virtually and keep up on my fitness by working out with my team via zoom. It's a crazy time but still full of possibilities! I'm so sorry some of your surgeries are being derailed- that is a tough pill to swallow I'm sure. I hope everyone stays healthy and strong. Be kind!

Looking at old pics of myself makes me sad because I still feel very negatively about the way I look, but I look so much worse b4 I lost weight and that thought kinda depresses me.

First before and after photo!
I am 4 months out (SD 1/21/20) and am about 85 down from my highest weight known (from when I decided to make a change - rarely weighted myself before that).
I still have a long journey ahead, but looking back makes me realize the progress I’ve already made, which can be hard to see in the day to day.

The photo that kick-started my motivation VS current. I'm about 2.5 years post-WLS and about 14 months post-skin removal surgery.

same here.. I was like .. "You did good pre op so you should have just stuck with that" but I know me I would have just reverted back to my old ways .. I haven't had nausea yet and I'm on a full liquid diet until the 27th yay! Right lol. Head hunger has set in only when I'm preparing food for my family or they are fixing them selves something. I watch cooking channel strangely but I never eat what they eat so I'm fine lol. It's a long hard road but I'm ready and I know God is with me. -

The first night I thought to myself "what did I do, I'm never going to be able to enjoy anything again" . I was blessed with no nausea so that's worked out and I'm still on Clear Liquids until my two week check up on the 25th. If I think about it too hard o freak myself out with the whole "this is irreversible" but then I read the threads of how fabulous people feel.
