    I messed up bad

You may need to take something for anxiety. Your family doctor should be able to write something for you. I take something daily myself.

    I messed up bad

Not to beat a dead horse here but...You were just asking about this on Saturday and Everybody here said it was a bad idea. I dont have my surgery until next week but and I am not really a sweets person but you have got to use this tool to be sucessful. I hope you get to feeling better and learn from this experience. Good luck on your journey.
  5. I think I have seen it on here but not sure of the name. Any help is appreciated
  6. I had this scheduled intiatially at Natural Hair Transplants in Ft Lauderdale 2 months after sleeve surgery. I only need in my front area as I have good full hair on 80% of my head. The transplnted follicles fall out after a few weeks but start growing in at 3-4 months. The results are amazing at 9-12 months. I want to wait long enough that the hair surgery was is is not an issue due to dificiencies. My original date got postponed because of rise in Covid on 12/16 and hair surgery wa s scheduled for 2/16/21. I believe I will schedule 3-4 months out. How long did you guys have problems with your hair after surgery?
  7. Thanks that is good info and what I plan to do. May need to wait 6 months or so after the surgery. Thanks again!
  8. I have my delayed surgery finally coming up on 2/23. I take a lot of supplements and vitamins & have since Covid began. I take: Biotin Keratin Zinc-Gummy Vitamin C- Gummy Iron Super B Complex B1- Thiamin B12- Gummy B12 Sublingual D3- Soft gel Vitamin E- Soft gel Multivitamin -Gummy 81 mg aspirin- Stopped a few weeks ago until after surgery Omega 3-6-9- Soft Gel- Stopped for now Pro Biotic Losartan for blood pressure Some sort of prescribed water pill Potasium Clonazapam for anxiety Cialis occasionally Propecia I drink the Premier 30 gram protein shakes. I really don't want to quit taking any of these because I feel great and my hair, skin and nails are all good. I know a lot of people will see this and think it is over kill or OMG but this works for me and I like it. It has kept my immune system strong. All of my blood test are great. I am concerned about getting some of these down after surgery. I was wondering if anyone is taking gummy vitamins? I get them in what ever supplement I can because of the amount of supplements I take it is easier to mix it up. My Doctor told me to stop taking Fish oil and aspirin for now because of blood thinner. Any advice on this is appreciated, a multi vitamin does not do the same for me as this regiment so that is not an option for me. Thanks
  9. I am reading that a lot of the Bariatric Advantage Multivitamins are soft chews. What is the difference between soft chew and a gummy? Thanks

    OK...Seems very similar to me
  11. LOL...I have one pair of dress socks for weddings and funerals. I do wear the ankle socks to walk and to the gym but mostly wear Olikai sandals 90% of the time.
  12. I am going to at least take biotin, finsteride ( both tiny pills) and collagegen in powder form if the doc says it is ok. My heals have cracked for years and since taking collagen they are as smooth as they were when I was a kid. It does wonders for your skin in particular. The biotin and finisteride are so tiny I can't imagine I would have to stop tking those. My own dermatologist even tkes those for his hair.
  13. Did you have any issues with hair loss? If so at what point? Thanks
  14. I sent a list of everything I am taking to the surgery coordinator. All they told me to stop taking was Omega 3-6-9 and the 81mg aspirin. I will check gain Monday. Hopefully I can continue with the collagen, biotin, keratin B! for Hair loss at least. I m hoping I can at some point get back on this entire regiment.
  15. My surgery is coming up on 2/23. I have really been looking forward to it. The more I read it seems many people have major issues with gas, constipation, nausea, pain ,etc... There has to be some ways to combat some of these things. I sometimes get gas up in my chest and can eat a couple of antacids and that takes cre of it in minutes. Constipation I would guess is lack of fiber. What are you taking for that? Metamucil maybe? Nausea, I am guessing the doc will prescribe something for that.Pain, I am sure I will get some pain pills. What else do I have to look forward to? I appreciate everyone's insight and realize each journey is a little different. I am also having a lapband removed thank God. I am really going to get fter this and do this the right way. I hope to lose 80- 100 pounds nd belive I can do tht in less thn a year I am currently about 305 and 6 feet tall with a large frame and lift weights. I weighed 210 when I got married and that was a really good weight for me at that time. I am thinking if I can land somewhere in that 210 range that should be good gol weight for me. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  16. I was originally scheduled for surgery on 12/16 but postponed due to Covid cases escalating at the time. I was 4 days into my liquid diet when I got the call. On the positive side I was able to enjoy the holidays but ready to get this show on the road! I am having this useless lap band taken out at the same time. I got up to 315 and currently at 303, I am a 6 ft tall 63 yr old male. Has anyone had trouble with hair loss? I am taking Biotin,Keratin, B1, propecia, and rogaine. I would like to lose about 100 pounds. I think 210-215 is a good weight for me. I am wondering how long it will take to lose 100 pounds. Also what vitamins are you guys taking?
  17. I have been overweight for 35 years. I steadily put on 2-3 pounds a year for 35 years. I have been on every kind of diet you can imagine. I had lapband surgery about 15 years ago and that ended up being a failure as I could not swallow at night. I gained all my weight back and then some within no time, I am having the lapband removed and gastric sleeve on 12/16/20. I am excited about the future and ready to start this journey! I need some support pals that are going thru the same life change. Lets Roll!

    Surgery planned

LOL! I love this question. I had a buddy that had this surgery and he liked to drink! He did not drink a drop for 6 months and doesn't drink much now but does a tad on occasions. Good luck! I am having my surgery on 12/16.
  20. I had lad-band Surgery about 12 years ago. I went from 320 down to about 250 at my lowest weight, I am a 6 ft tall 62 year old male. I am back up to 300 and just not going to be fat anymore. I finally had all of the saline removed from the lap-band because I would wake up every night drowning in my saliva...it would not go down at night. I have been on several calls with the insurance company and the doctors office and have an appointment for late July to discuss removal and Gastric Sleeve the same day as I understand it. I am really excited about this! I would like to lose about 100 pounds. The nurse said she didn't think I would have to do the 6-7 month diet required by insurance because of my situation. Has anyone out there gone from lap-band to Gastric Sleeve and did it take long for the surgery to take place...ie, 6 month weight loss program or not? If you have switched from lap-band to sleeve please tell me how that has gone for you. Thanks
  21. I would love to here some results of what kind of results you guys and girls had from your surgery date to end of 30 days,3 months, 6 months, a year and so on. Have you been able to keep it off. I like to have a cocktail or two but know that will need to change. I am a 62 year old male, former athlete, I weigh 303 and I am 6 feet and a half inch tall. I probably looked by best at around 210. I have got a larger frame and would be way to thin at 175 I believe. I am told that your body will settle in to a weight that it is comfortable with. I will be having a lap-band removed that I gave up on a long time ago. I know the lap-band works for some folks just not for me. My appointment to discuss with the doctor is July 24th. I am excited that I will not have to be fat forever! Let me hear from you!
  22. Very impressive Dude!! Congratulations. This is very encouraging and yes I realize that you have to be diligent. I currently weigh 20 pound less than you and look forward to getting down to around 190-200 lbs. I have a larger frame and that was my weight when playing sports and in good shape.
  23. I had a lap-band put in about 14 years ago. I went from 320 to 250 in about a year. I never could get much saline put in the band because every time I did I would wake up drowning in my own saliva. I finally had all the saline taken out and still have some restriction and cant eat certain types of food. I have gained back to 300. I am going back to the same doctor on July 24th and getting a date for removal of lap-band and start process to have gastric sleeve surgery. If I can lose some weight it will be easier to exercise. I enjoy going to the gym but would like to lose weight. My wife says when I go to the gym i just get bigger. Anyways....good luck. I hope it works for you.
  24. Melissa...Thanks for responding. I go to the Doctor on 7/24 and hopeful to get some kind of idea of when I can get this done. Did they make you diet for 6 months like before? The nurse seemed to think I might get to skip that and go to pre op diet. Hopefully this can come together quickly. Let me know how long you have been working on this and what you have found out. Thanks again.
