    Anyone with 14CC band....

Good afternoon; I myself am a 14cc bander. I have been having trouble with my band. Since my 3rd fill which put me at 6.5cc. I throw up at least 3-4 times a week. I have to keep my game on 24/7 or I get the upchuck blues. So I have went to eating the comfort foods that I know will not cause problems. That has made my losses go from good to oh well. With my wifes advice and my light on top of the brain assumption, i figured that i was not getting enough Protein for the weight loss. I am going to the gym 1-3 times a week. So Iam going to try and stop eating the dumb stuff and keep my protein levels up. Also I am going to come back to where I started with my weight loss HERE. So i will keep you updated on my adventure back into the weight loss that should have been going on. Kevin:biggrin:

Losing the Battle of right and wrong!!!

I was banded on dec.08, 08 in Harrisburg. I go for my 2nd fill on the 24th of this month. I am going to have the Dr put as much as possible in me to get me off this plateau of slowing weight loss. Will keep you informed as of how i do.
  7. I would like to know how many men are losing the battle of eating what is right and what is wrong. My battle is thinking that I can still eat the before food and still lose weight. When I go to the grocery with my wife and buy a simple pound of lunch meat for sandwiches, I end up litteraly living near the fridge. I end up going back to the old ways of eating like a old boar hog. After finishing the old way of eating food that I know is wrong, I feel like I have wasted my time. Then I go for a days eating like I should and lose weight. But the the little guy on my shoulder says Hey it's alright to go back and try some of that old food. Guess what I gain back what I lost. So I am looking for others that have been here and have changed their ways to eating right all the time. So let me hear from the men on this site.
  8. I really suck right now. I am my own worst enemy. I have those two little guys sitting on my shoulder telling me yes and are you crazy? The little guy saying yes you can eat everything is winning. but right after that the other guy lays a gulit trip on me. After that I promise not to listen to the bad guy. That lasts for a couple of days. I go to WLC on the 24th. I need some help with eating a good and protein heavy breakfast. But most of all I need to not have lunch meat or anything like that around because I practically live in the fridge until it's gone. So hope life is better for you. Let me know how you do at the office visit.

  9. Well? Well? How are you? I visit the WLC tomorrow and it made me think of you and wonder how it was going. Take care!

Female Invasion of the Mens Room

Gentlemen, I work in a Dr's office with 17 other women. So don't talk to me about periods or cycles I deal with it everyday. I need some help in eating less. Are all of you weighing your food at meal times or are you just sighting it in with your eyes saying that looks like so many enough food?? Most of the time I am not weighing food so is that why my weight loss is at a slow pace??? Let me hear from all the other men.

    Hello

Good afternoon, I have been banded since 12-08 and it is the best thing I have ever done. It feels like you will never get your surgery date while on your 6 month wait. But being patient is one of the thngs you learn. You and the dr have to jump thru hoops for the ins company. Also you will have to have a last meeting with the dr and probably the nutrionist. Oh bny the way they have to do another ins check to be double sure and thenm you will get your date. You may even pick up the phine to see if its still working to make sure you haven't missed the mosat important call in your life. Be patient and just relax and your time will come..

    day of surgery

  13. Hey, Fitzie! I hope you are doing better at slowing down. I forget sometimes too. I've been close to losing it too, and it was so painful. I'm trying really hard now to make sure I really really chew. I hope you are doing better too. Take care! Update soon, okay, because it's good to hear how you are! Thanks! Bye!

  14. My Second post-op is jan 30. Since going back to work I have not gotten into a eating routine yet. I am still having a problem with not slowing down my eating. I will eat to fast and everything will stop and wait at the band. I have not thrown up yet, but I am coming close.

Hope your holiday is going well. Mine was great except for visiting family back in Ohio. Will talk to you later.

  15. Hey there! I saw Dr. Currie today for my second post-op, and he gave me a 1.5 cc fill. It wasn't so bad! He thought I was kind of funny being a big baby and all, but that's me.

When you have your second post-op? Now I go back in two months to see how this new restriction performed. I felt restricted before, but when I got back this morning, I had a serving of milky oatmeal and man, I feel really stuffed!

How is it going for you??

    Have a great holiday!
