  1. Hi everyone, I did a detour and went to the hospital to visit my Mum on the way back from Manchester. I met Sammy and Wishful, it was lovely. Wishful, did you get a good fill? Sammy and I were both booked for 1pm, but she was there before me so it was only fair that she went in first. She was a little nervous but everything went fine she said and when I was called in Sammy was going then. She has a beautiful baby boy called Harrison, he is absolutely gorgeous, and loves the ladies already I was in for ages because Freddy boy (bit dishy aint he ) couldnt find my port for a while, he said I had a lot of scar tissue, with having the other band...but he found it in the end. He put the usual 3ml in and I am struggling to drink, is this normal, never had that with my last band!!! I hope it stays like this, I will be falling down grids I'll be that thin It was nice to see 2 (faces that I didnt know, but did) if you get my drift. Hope you have a lovely time in the South of France Mmm. I didnt see Garry btw, but didnt expect to cos he was going in the morning. I did ask the receptionist but she couldnt remember a Scottish bloke.
  2. Garry I'm not due there till 1pm, but if you're still there i will say hello. Good luck sweetiepie xxx Flippin eck you were only banded 2 weeks before me and this is my first, I have some catching up to do.
  3. Garry is this your first fill too? We may meet Thanx for all the good lucks for our fills tomorrow, I dont even know Wishfuls name so gona have to call her just that
  4. Ahh thanx Wishful, I am sure it will, if it doesnt I may start smoking, so be prepared, but I dont think so, cos now i feel much better apart from feeling fat
  5. Forgot to say I have put on 2 lbs since I had my op, so am hoping that he gives me a good fill, cos paying £90 for a couple of drops of saline is not on I know its cos of the no smoking, and I can eat anything and everything now. Bring on the fills.
  6. Oh poor you Mandy, doesnt your GP know you have feelings he/she sounds very insensitive, if you could afford to pay for the op in the UK you prolly wouldnt have asked for NHS funding in the first place, what a plonka. And how much money are you saving the NHS paying for the op yourself??? The band I had originally cost in between £1500 and £2000, dont know what this new one cost. Then there's the 2 doctors fees. Ignore the GP, you will be fine, you wont need any aftercare from them. I wonder what exactly they mean by that anyway:blink: Its not as if you're expecting free fills from the NHS is it...duh, I feel sorry for you Mandy, most of our GPs have been very supportive, but i spose there's always one. That part about the UK doctors, most of them are foreign anyway I know mine is lol.
  7. Has everyone gone now? I have to go do some chores now too...later peoples xxx
  8. Sammy's appointment is the same time as mine chick...1pm. Anymore coming to the party
  9. Ahh bless, sorry,I was at the hairdressers getting a cut and colour, then had time to grab some food and run to the hospital, when i got home from Asda was ready to drop. Yup,ready for fill , are you? I've never been told not to eat before a fill, before and they havent told me this time either. Maybe its in case you're sick??? I'm sure I dont know the reason.
  10. Ah thanx Mandy, I love the cuteness of them. Big sis, I think my bmi was about 35 last time I had the op, and the only thing I was told that may stop anyone losing weight fast was if they were a grazer, and guess what, thats me
  11. Had you worked yourself up hunny, cos you know what happens to your band if you get a bit stressed? Funny how bread goes down and mashed veg can stick.but I remember my band worked differently every single day, in that some days I could eat stuff I couldnt the day before or the day after. They are a bit tempermental I think...
  12. You're very welcome Gillian Flirty thats great news from Mmm isnt it, I bet you were starting to panic werent you. And I was thinking about what you said before about the weight you'd lost, well the surgeon told my daughter when she loses weight her organs also get smaller and the band would then be a lot looser, so yes I have heard that before.
  13. its just a programme of smileys that I downloaded Gillian, nothing to it really, I just have to click the picture I want to use and it appears. feel free to copy them if you like chick, that goes for everyone. If you dont know how, send me a pm, I am going to bed now, was just enjoying playing for a bit.
  14. I like them both, they are great !!!!
  15. very good Flirtydrawers....you 2 are just showing off now aintcha with your purdy colours, me is gonna change my colour too
  16. Great Gillian....well done chick
  17. There was some downtime yesterday cos I couldnt get on either.
  18. That sounds like you're on your way Gillian...brilliant, now the next step has gotta be, that you can only manage the half of popadum and then youre full, so you dont want any afters. Thats what I shall be aiming for, but make sure you keep taking the vits as you dont want to get run down.
  19. Thanx Gillian, good news eh, cept now its my turn, I am going back to bed for an hour as my head is banging and have taken anadin extra too.
  20. This is just a suggestion, how about if everyone put their banding date in their sig Is it only me that cant remember everyone's banding date? Just go to the user cp, top left of the page and look for signature. You can put text in there like I have in mine.
  21. Well maybe you should ask Freddy boy to have a word with Dr Chris, or why dont you mail him yourself, and ask if thats normal. You have lost a good bit of weight though, havent you. I dont know really but when I had no restriction sometimes I still pb'd if I didnt chew well enough. Can you eat large meals?
  22. Wishfull, Mum seemed back to her old self yesterday, but had accidently puuled the needle out of her hand, that was feeding the saline into her. So the staff nurse stopped the drip, I think she'd had enough and they didnt want to try putting the needle in again, as her veins keep collapsing. They just have to keep giving her loads of fluids and maybe by Friday she will be well enough to be moved to the nursing home. Thanx for asking chick
  23. Oh Flirty, that is odd....have you told your fill person? I would deffo, next time you go
