WOW!!!! Over 4 stone in 6 months, you have done so well Carrie, absolutely fantastic.!!! You must be very proud of yourself. And what a bonus, your mum being able to do your fills, excellent. Wishful, what a shame, i may wait for you, do you want me to? I may not even go in on time, or are they pretty fast, sort of in and out? hey Flirty drawers we all have a social life you know, just cos me is an old git, i still like to dress up and go out :cool2: Seriously though, if you're on the pull its so much easier if you're all skin and bone, these days, what happened to nicely rounded women like years ago. these models all look like boys dont they.

I need restriction now, I have waited for over 12 months:crying: Wishful my appoinment is 1pm, what times yours:tongue2: I take it you are going the same day?

Probably Gillian, though it does still stick out a bit, nothing like it was or like Garry's, so its just taking longer for the swelling to go down. I have had a reply from Chris Deprez and he has made me an appointment for 9th April in Manchester with Frederik. Is he the same Frederik that works with Dr CDB?

As far as i know Gillian, Michael is Dutch, but he qualified in Belgium. No hunny he took the whole lot out cos part of the deal with the manufacturer for the free band was to have the faulty one returned to them. So I have a smaller one this time, I think maybe my last one was too big, because MVDB said he had 3 for me, and he would put in the most suitable, which ended up the small one. See...me is only slim...... MDVB prescribed Lansoprazole (zoton) which , amongst other things is for the treatment of inflammation of the oesophagitis. They are strawberry flavour and you just dissolve them on your tongue. They are similar to Diclofenac, as in, they are an anti-inflammatory. I am still taking one each morning whereas with Diclofenac, you have to take 3 a day. But the same principal Gillian.

Oh Garry what a damn pain to have to go all the way back to Belgium, but needs must. Good luck sweetheart, hope all goes well for you. I have a dilemma myself now. Michael VDB has mailed me to say he hasnt got a clinic in manchester until 7th May. So do I fork out about £50/60 in petrol and drive there and back or do I go somewhere else...just dont know what to do. I have 2 fills included in my package and Michael said he would do them both at Manchester. But i will still have those even if I get the first one done somewhere else. What do you girlies think?

Perky, I'm sure you will find the information given here invaluable. Good luck for next week and make sure you come back and tell all when you feel well enough.- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Oh Fatpants you poor thing. Sweetie I really feel for you, but you will improve, are you taking your vits and anti-inflammatory tabs? My surgeon prescribed Lansoprazole, strawberry flavour that dissolve on the tongue, I also asked my GP to prescribe them when I ran out. I also take a couple of Arinca tabs ( From Holland & Barrat, or any healthfood store) a day. I'm sure these have helped me, cos I didnt get hardly any bed rest cos of visiting the hospital to see my Mum almost as soon as I got back from my own surgery. I still have some pain from my port area and the incision just above my tummy button, which my daughter says is the band around my stomach??? And i was banded just over 4 weeks ago. I do hope you feel better soon xxx.- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Of course you're not being stupid, if nobodys told you, its not something you'd know. It's Productive Burping hunny. Good luck with the meal, just keep going to the loo and get rid of some food if it gets too much, I know it sounds dreadful, but thats what my daughter does, and then goes back to the table and starts again lol, she is a case:lol: I did try that myself too and guess what it works. Thanx Wishful, I am certainly hoping that I couldnt possibly be unlucky enough to have another faulty band. And this is the way my first one was sposed to work.- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
I read this last night hunny and meant to reply, but after todays episode I remember it well. The only way I can relieve it is to either force a PB or go outside and do some deep breathing, but that takes longer. A friend of my daughter used to always keep fizzy pop in the house and if it ever happened to her, she would have a drink of the pop and up the excess food would come. Btw this girl has now had her band removed because she was losing so much weight that her hair was falling out, and her gp told her that she must. I am not sure of all the details, but hopefuly will find out asap. The last time I saw her was 12 months ago when she had gone from a size 20 to a 12, and she was going for a fill.- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
After saying all of that about the bread, today I cant eat it, I tried a few mouthfuls, and then I got that awful tightness in my chest and thought I was going to throw up, in fact it feels stuck in my throat. The only way I know of to relieve this is to force a pb. Sorry to be so graphic, but it needed saying for all you new bandsters. I didnt have this feeling with my first band before I had a fill, so this one must be working for me....yay!!!! God i am such a greedy pig:blink:- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Maybe its a good thing, I also love bread, garlic and otherwise, atm I can manage it, but I know later, after fills, I wont be able to. Shoes, we dont care whether you're English Irish or whatever, you are part of our great thread and we luvs ya. My port area is still very tender, and I can feel the band around my tum, through the skin, just above my tummy button... I dont know why, I couldnt last time. It's really weird, anyone else got this? (My daughter reckons that what it is, but I dont know.)- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi Shoes, welcome back, I missed you. i noticed you were on the Irish section last week, and was wondering if you'd have time to call in. OMG!!! You have done so well, almost 2 stone and not even had a fill, you are good, well done chick. I could never eat bread with my first band after having fills, but could manage a bit of crusty roll if i nibbled it and took forever to eat it. But that was it, ordinary bread was taboo. Whatever you're doing carry on, its working for you. xx- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
EDIT: umm I was only doing one vice, drinking and just chatting to a young fella who was making me laff. Is that the 2nd vice? His wife was behind him keeping an eye on him lol. As if, I'm old enough to be his ma. a grope, nah, he was very careful which way his hand was as his lovely wife is next to him with the dark hair, my friend Lisa. But if you look at the woman on the end he has his hand around her and she is holding it. me and Lisa walked in on them snogging that night!!!! but Lisa doesnt care cos she wants rid of him:blink: He's 12 years older than her, but he's never been her type, dont know why they ever got married...damn shame for both of them.:crying: btw thanx for the compliment about great gran:laugh:- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
@ Cant Weight Phew thats a relief, thought we had a porn queen here.- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Flirty you wont be far from me then, I'm just over the Runcorn/Widnes bridge. Welcome Jewy !!!!!! Sammy and BigBones, I am just the same, starving and not got much restriction and I'm over 4 weeks out. I dont think many of us get much restriction before our first fill, so I wouldnt worry about it. In fact I am making the most of it. Also it changes from day to day, and if you went back on liquid for a few days you may find that the band tightens. But like i said, once you start getting fills you wont be able to tolerate lots of stuff. So dont be thinking something is wrong!!!!- Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Flirty how could you feel like the odd one out we luvs ya hunny.... and a big to you Dublingirl if only you'd come on this site before you went for your op you could have saved yourself the worry of it being a scam, but you're here now :crying: - Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
