Feeling guilty pre-op
I was self-pay...more like mom-pay. She ended up paying a little over 18,000 for my surgery....yet I have not felt any guilt. Maybe because other siblings have had house down payments and businesses paid for them....and the fact that in reality she had spent that throughout my childhood on Jenny Craig, WW, TOPS, many personal trainers, and so on and so on...most of those I went into not wanting to do. This time I had done the research and had been the one who was ready to change my life. I knew it wasn't going to be a waste of money. I don't think I'm spoiled or selfish.....but maybe I am

Weight Gain
I gained back 20 pounds recently. I hadn't had a fill for over a year, although I won't bame it only on that. I wasn't doing any working out, and eating all the bad foods that were able to go through my band easily, ice cream, chocolate, cookies....I don't think I stretched my band, just fell into bad habits. I got a fill two weeks ago and have already lost 13 pounds of that 20.

Restriction on one fill?
When I got my band I didn't get a fill until 7-8 months later, I had 2.2cc put in my 4cc band then, I had good restriction. I then got my second fill 15 months after that and he filled it back up to 2.2cc...a little had leaked out I guess and have had really good restriction since then.

Gone for Good Club - May 2006
Wow Telly, sounds like you live in a crazy jungle! Here I am living in Iowa and freak out about a spider (maybe the size of a penny at most)...I'm a wuss. Heather, that sounds really scary. I know that is one of my worst nightmares. And here I'll be in South Texas for a couple weeks at the end of the month.

TriciaK, that's AWESOME!! I can't wait to take a picture like that myself. This morning I got on the scale and it said 220..I was like, WooHoo! thats 3 pounds gone, but got on 3 more times and they all said 221, so I'm going with 221 still. That's 2 pounds, not bad at all! Congrats Telly on your loss!

Weekend Weight Loss
Wow Tricia, I can only imagine how frustrating that has to be. SO close!! My only advice, although I'm sure you already know, is just change some things up. If you walk on the treadmill put the incline up a little for a little longer and you should see some difference, and of course try to cut out just a little from your diet...I know we will see a 199 scale picture by Monday, you can do it!!

Weekend Weight Loss
Telly, you will be proud! Weighed this morning(my offical number), and I was at 221 already, my two pounds are gone, now I need to make sure I maintain this weightloss for Monday or hopefully even lose some more!! Hope everyone is doing good too!!

Alcohol After Surgery ???
I was told not to drink any for 1-2 months after surgery by my doc and you can drink but know that its a lot of calories and can make weight loss a lot slower.

Anyone have a recipe for egg drop soup
MmmmMmmmm, thank you for sharing the Egg Drop Soup recipe! I just made a batch and it is wonderful. I have really been craving this for awhile and we don't have any Chinese restaurants around here...and I knew it prolly wasn't very healthy how they make it. THANKS!
