  1. I've never actually met anyone inperson whos had the band. We plan on taking a few trips down to Texas this summer, mostly to San Antonio...but if people wouldnt mind and it was a weekend we are in Texas, I'd love to meet up with ya'll!
  2. Wow Molligirl, I've had the exact same thing these last few nights after my fill. First time was horrible, the whole nose thing waking my up and me running to the bathroom, and it has got better and better over the last couple nights. I've been kind of scared to call the doctor, but I know I should!
  3. I just realized if you would have asked me this question before banding PASTA would have been out of my mouth in a second and then Bread right afterwards....it took me about 6-7 months after the band and not eating those foods anymore, atleast not in any kind of volume like I used to, to find new things I really started craving. I never was much of a sweets person until now after the band...
  4. Cookies with milk and any kind of Ice Cream! Ugh, and how easy those still go down with the band. I try to stay out of those isles too..somedays are better than others....
  5. WOW....You look great, I just love seeing pics like these! Great motivation!
  6. Kristin, on Monday I had a 2.2cc fill in my 4cc band, I'm doing a pretty similar diet now, I did a 48 hour clear liquid and I am now mixing in some of the full liquid diet. I'm happy but a little nervous on how the scale has been going down. I was 234 on monday at the office and this morning I was 224.5, thats 9.5 down. So far I'm feeling great though, no hunger really, sip on my water, broth, and juices during the day and Im full.

I'm similar to the others here. Around second grade I started getting home from school and would be home alone until my mom got home fom work or one of my older siblings decided to come home from high school and hanging out with there friends. I was always fine, although I do think it helped me gain the weight at a younger age, as soon as I got home it was sitting in front of the tv and eating junkfood until the family got home. And I also was babysitting prolly around 9 or 10, now looking back on it, it does seem a little crazy I was taking care of kids ages 0-6 when I was still pretty young. But I did take all the health/babysittig classes and was very mature at a young age.

Wow...it was a suprising show. You could see the shock in Chris' wifes face, lol. I am SO happy Ace is finally gone! But still very suprised about the bottom 3.
  9. Ok...went to the doctor on Monday to have my fill. It wasn't my regular doctor and he did it right in the regular office instead of under the X-rays or whatever that machine is and drink the barium. Only $70 instead of the $200, so that was nice. The worst part of the visit was seeing I was up to 234, 20 pounds up from my lowest weight. But what I realized that day, is before having the band hearing I had gained back 20 pounds when I was on a diet I would have just kept gaining and eating being so depressed. But thats not how it is now, I have this tool for a reason and Im going to use it. So, Ive been on a clear liquid diet, starting on a full liquid diet today and plan on staying on a semi liguid diet for the rest of the week. The doctor and nurses thought that was a good idea. This morning I was at 228, a good start. And the challenge sounds like something I need!
  10. Hey all...congrats on all you big losers :-) I feel as though I have been avoiding this site because of my gaining these last couple weeks. So I finally called and made a fill appointment. It's this monday after Easter. I've only had one other fill...about six months after surgery, I never did anything special before or after the fill, but I did lose another 20-30 pouds pretty quickly after that fill. Just wondering if ya'll do anything before the fill, like fast, or liquid diet before and after. I think I've read on here some do the after surgery diet after a fill. Just wondering on what you do. I've been thinking about doing a semi-liquid diet for the week after the fill. Happy Easter Weekend Ya'll!!

I SO want Ace gone...I just loved his crying tonight. I like Chris and think he's going to go far if not win it all...but I'm sorry, the eye makeup HAS to go!
  12. I haven't decided if I'm going to get a fill this month or not. That had been my plan when I got back from Spring Break, but won't be able to see my doctor until Easter weekend. Happy April Fool's Day Ya'll!
  13. Hmm...that suprises me with the cottage cheese. I've never had a problem with it. But then you never know when its going to hit and what triggers them sometimes....
  14. Hi, I was 18 when I got banded, a month after graduating from High School...one of the best things I've ever done! I might have been heavy through out childhood and high school, but I know I wont be for the rest of my life. I hoe everything goes well and if you have any questions you can message me anytime. Good luck!
  15. The monthly thread idea sounds good to me too PhotoNut. This group really did help me get the start I wanted, now I just need to get back into the groove of eating better and being more active! This group is wonderful!
  16. C 223 (-80 lbs total) +2 this week
  17. Spring Break really took a toll on me. Sorry I haven't been able to check in, got in last night from Texas and took all day today catching up on the site and getting everything finished around the house. I'm a little nervous to get on the scale this week. I spent a week eating out at yummy yummy places. I don't even want to think about the calories I took in. And sadly I wasn't drinking very much water.
  18. C 221 (-5.5) -82 total I was VERY suprised this morning when I stepped on the scale. All I did different this week was drink tons of water. I'm so happy! Woo Hoo! Great job everyone!
  19. Like the others said, Welcome! My boyfriend is from San Antonio and we'll be down there next week for Spring Break...which is great because I really like the town and love Texas, but bad because Texas has Blue Bell (that ice cream has become an addiction!) and Pappadaux's, we always go a few times when we're down there....just love the place. So next week I'm not planning on much weight loss, except we are pretty active when we are down there and walking on the River Walk.
  20. My goal this week has been to drink, drink, drink, water that is. I've been pretty good getting anywhere from 70 to 120 oz. a day. You can't drink too much water, right? What I really want to work on is the snacking, I feel as if I've done a little better this week with keeping a food journal. Before eating something I ask myself if I really want to write this down in the journal. But I could be losing a lot more if I cut my snacking down.

Taylor and Chris are on top for me, agree with you that Taylor gets better every week. I also think Kinnick will be gone and I don't think Kevin will make it this week either...don't really know who the others will be.
  22. I didn't have the best week, so staying the same weight or losing anything would have been good for me. Here's hoping next week is better.... C 226.5 (-76.5) This week -.5 Great job everyone else!
  23. I used to allow guys to do that to me, thought it was the only way to get someone to love me. But when you meet the right person, you don't have any of these concerns or doubts. When I met my dear boyfriend he was excited to meet my family and friends...he wanted to see the people who I cared about and who made me, me. He couldn't wait for me to meet his family, was so proud, he was showing my pictures to his mom (my fat pictures, ugh) told me how proud he was to have me on his arm whenever we went out, always holding my hand. I never in my imagination thought I would find someone who treated me with so much love and respect and made it even clearer what kind of d*ckheads I had been seeing before. I know it feels hard to be alone....but being alone in my opinion was better than the uncertain feelings, self-esteem bashing, and the hurt I put myself through by being with those type of guys. Waiting for the right guy is so worth it.
  24. Is this your first pregnancy with the band? I've wondered if people get their bands completely unfilled and if so, how does that feel, no restriction at all? Congrats on the baby, Natalie is a beautiful name.
  25. After a horrible week of eating all the ice cream and cookies in the house, today I sighed a breath of relief when I stepped on the scale and hadn't gained...no loss, but no gain. I started a food/workout journal today, no more munching all day long and drinking way more water. I love coming here and reading how people are doing. Great encouragment.
