Ok, so 1 day post opp and let me just be honest day 1 was very rough the pain and the gas was enough to have me calling on the lord.... but its been a little over 24 hr and I kinda feel 1/2 way ok..... still have not had anything to drink yet but I have been walking. One thing 4 sure I am making sure they stay on top of my pain meds every 2 hr.

The closer I get to my surgery date, the slower the time seems to be going. I keep looking at videos, reading messages on here and just getting more and more excited and nervous. I just want to get it over and done with. I will however be documenting my entire process, I can't wait to tell you all how it all went down.

Yes, do what you have to do YOLO, I will be having surgery in 2 days and he still acting kinda funny but, idgaf I'm happy for myself and my kids are my biggest cheerleaders. I made a commitment to myself this year and with the grace if God I will see this thru. Good luck to you dear I hope it all works well for you

I'm having surgery Sept 4th 2020 in Annapolis MD with Dr. Courtney Doyle, my experience so far has been very smooth and easy, they gave me all the information I needed and all the referrals were loaded into my patient portal, so all I needed to do was make the appointments. I have Maryland Medicaid and I thought that would make things harder for me but it really did not, I will keep you posted on my Surgery and how everything goes.

Ok so my surgery is sched for Sept 4th, and I just found out No one is allowed to come with me because of the new covid-19 restrictions, that makes me kinda sad had anyone eles had surgery yet, and had to go in alone ?

I just had my preoperative appointment and got the nitty gritty on my Surgery and what to expect, now I'm getting a little nervous. My surgeon said I will have a drain tube. [emoji33] anyone eles been thru this and can give me words of encouragement. Everything is submitted and I am just waiting on Insurance approval and a surgery date, I cant believe I finished all the pre-op requirements, and I am almost to the finish line ( kinda ). I keep watching videos of people on surgery day dreaming that one day soon that will be me. I wonder how long I will have to wait for an answer I have United Healthcare Community in Maryland. I promise I will put my entire process on here for others because I have not seen anyone on here from Maryland going thru my hospital AAMC Annapolis or with my type of insurance.

Omg....I am currently doing the exact same thing I have been waiting and waiting for some news from my doctors office my paper work was submitted to insurance Friday and I know its only been a few days but it's like my new life is waiting. Congratulation on your surgery date, can I ask how long your entire process took before you got a surgery date

What happens if you test positive for covid 19, will that cause you to not get surgery? has anyone had this happen to them ( I am not currently positive) I just wanted to know given the current situation

I know things are just starting to get back going again, but whats the wait time looking like for people like me that just completed all my pre-op. Will all the things that I completed still be good if the wait is really long ( ekg, labs, etc)
