    Hi all,
One week post op! Whoo hoo, I’ve been feeling pretty good. I’m just concerned I’m not getting enough Protein in. I’ve been adding protein to my yogurt and pudding to make sure. Other than that, I’m sooo ready for real food! Lol

Also have cysts in my breasts. Every mammo turns into an ultrasound. Maybe we were separated at birth. Never heard of EP helping but definitely going to try it... after recovery. No stomach upset with either?

    Hello!
I am new here and I just had my gastric bypass on the 3rd. I'm a 34 year old married mom I am still having some pain and a little nausea. I am supposed to do full liquids for 7 days and blended for 3 to 4 weeks. Making sure to sip, sip, sip is no joke. One of the biggest things I am most surprised about is the noises that come from my stomach area. Lots of gurgling. My hardest obstacle is my son who is 3 wanting to crawl all over me!

For those of you who have surgery soon... you don't know me but I will be cheering for you.

    Best wishes!

Hey meow! I decided on bypass just because I felt it would be more beneficial to me. I was also nervous about having some issues later on down the road with the sleeve and didn’t want to have to have a revision surgery. I am 27, 5’7” and My starting weight was 258. I had surgery on May 14th (2 weeks ago) and I feel great! And I’m already down 23 pounds! I have had some emotional days....but I’m still very happy with my decision ❤️

    Hi, Meow,
I'm just a few weeks behind you. On my first visit to the surgeon on May 5, he told me I would need a psych consult and a nutritionist consult, then a visit with the anesthesia doc and a final visit with him prior to surgery. His assistant said if everything lined up right I could be having the surgery in early June.
I had the psych consult yesterday and the nutritionist today. Early June still seems optimistic, though. I have cataract surgery scheduled for Monday and Wednesday next week, and a routine follow-up with my pain management doc on June 10. I will ask the pain doc about squeezing in another steroid shot before the gastric bypass, but I'm still hoping for late June or July.
Just like you, I feel that things are moving quickly for me. I'm sure it will be an adventure.
    Dave

Hello Gang! So sorry for going MIA on you. I just got home from the hospital one hour ago. While my surgery went well, I became extremely nauseated in recovery and stayed that way for the next 48 hours. Gang... if there had been a death-button I might've pushed it. I can't describe the misery and I won't try but I did at one point become delirious because I was so miserable for so long. ANYWAY... they did everything they could to relieve me and eventually it just stopped. So then I was in this glorious high. The pain, which I only noticed AFTER the nausea left is mild to moderate and tylenol helps. I am home and sipping and walking. I just ate a 1oz Jello shot with 2 grams Protein and it seems to be going ok. I was thinking about my Bypass buds and hoping Lici and Chubby were faring better than I. I am so happy to be home in bed surrounded by a body pillow and my dog and listening to the happy sounds of my family in the house. I will post a play-by-play as I really appreciated when others did it for me but I'm going to close my eyes for a bit first. Thank you so much for sending the good thoughts. Lici it sounds like yours was a breeze and I'm so pleased. More soon!
