  1. Wow congrats on the success! I’m a few years out and still step on the scale daily. Daily scale ways show only ounces or pound at a time . Not like your where you step on scale less and see the results in bigger number.
  2. Just curious to see what the amount of food people are eating. After gastric sleeve. How cups or ounces at a time?
  3. Normal hygiene products, comfy clothes. Sounds silly but a sippy cup. Helps learn to drink
  4. I went thru the same thing. For the past few years it comes and goes. It’s a battle I fight every day. Remember the amount, I believe if your have real hunger eat . If you have head hunger find something to do or eat something little. If I waited to long head hunger would send me into a serious food freenzy.
  5. Has your relationship changed yes or no? For the better or worse since surgery? Sex?
  6. Sounds like you had made your decision up. If you feel that this will improve your health. Go for it. on the other hand. I hope you have a solid relationship with your spouse. This WILL change your whole dynamic. For the better or worse. Good luck
  7. Yes I’m a vsg. No revision. I do not take vitamins my vitamin levels are normal.
  8. Supposed to go for a scope. Rather figure this out with some help. Went to Mexico years ago. Come back to the states to find out that the spleen was lacerated. The Bariatric dr here acted like a spoiled child that I went to Mexico. Very uncomfortable seeing a dr. Thanks guys for mentioning restriction not normal. I didn’t think it was either but then again. It’s all still very new 2 years later. Peanut butter and a spoon!
  9. The foods that you mention nuts , butters and avocados, but also dried and fresh fruits, whole grain breads, potatoes (sweet and white), oatmeal, full fat dairy, I have ate from day one. Except pasta , high carb food. Are you saying to eat pasta , high carb foods? Of course I have since trying to put weight on. Healthy dense calorie food does not help with weight gain. But that’s for me. Everyone is different. I do need to mention my stomach feels more restricted. I was up to two cups of food 1 year out. Now being 2 plus years I’m down to 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup. Any ideas anyone.
  10. Yes. Blood test run. Family dr wants me to have a scope done thru a gastroenterologist. Do to heartburn. But I can’t see going to such exstream for heartburn. Unless I’m missing something.
  11. I’m excited for you good job! I have changed my goal weight several times. But when is enough enough?
  12. I’m 2 plus years out of gastric bypass. I have lost all my weight plus some. According to the stats I’m under weight. I have ate absolute junk food to get my weight up. Just makes me feel like crap. Just to much sugar. I eat my fair share with in reason. My stomach seems not to be growing. So I can put more food in. I’m really starting to worry about other health issues that I tried to avoid by doing the surgery. I’m looking in healthy even I can see. When I’m 60 am I going to have issues maintaining or gaining then. I was not prepared for this. People are fully focused on how fast and how much. But not the bigger picture. I’m sure I’m not the only one dealing with this. People who are going thru this. I would like to here your opinion.
  13. I had my surgery done in Mexico. I was in severe pain on the flight back to the states. Thinking it was just gas. Instinct told me to go to e.r. The Dr treating me here in the states was a complete a@@ hole. He told me that he can refuse my treatment. I was hospitalized for 3 days. He asked me why I went to Mexico. I told him that Mexico is much cheaper ,I don’t have to play the head games you require and the waiting game. He was not impressed. Things can happen here in the states or on another country but please please do your research before going!
  14. More people need to be aware.
  15. Want to know about peoples opinion. on the C.D.C weight guide?
  16. I often cringe when writing on this forum. Their for some will criticize me for my weight loss journey when some people ask why I got the surgery. Do to my size. I'm 5 foot small fram. Lower b.m.i. I have had great results. I lost really slow have reached my goals plus some. Healthier life style
  17. Head hunger. Thinking your hungry when your not. This has kicked my a** since day one. Im obsessed with food. Getting better thoe . If I have head hunger. I eat! The longer I wait to eat the more I smash. Just takes a small taste of something good. Trick for those who want something sweet and your on puree food.. cook bananas I'm a pan with your choice of oil or butter..omg!!.see I talk food I want to eat so I talk to you guys. Thanks
