    Gastric sleeve for BMI 30

Hi, I'm also a low BMI (31.4). Have tried multiple diets and exercise combo's etc, but nothing sustainable. Now, I have hypertension and borderline diabetes so I think it's worthwhile for me. I suppose you need to ask yourself whether you're doing it just to be slimmer (and why do you want to be slimmer)? or is it health concerns as well. Although, the risk is low from a VSG there are still complications and failures; also the cost...

    Drinking wine

I'm preop as well and alcohol has also been a problem for me over the past few years. I drink about the same amount as what you've stated here. For me, I see my upcoming ESG as a chance to reset my lifestyle. Not just post-op, but starting from right now (and the ESG giving the opportunity to make the best of this second chance). Not many people get a second chance, so I'll make the best of it I can.

    April 2020

Hi, joining the April club! My VSG is on April 6th. I still have my doubts about whether I should go through with it or not, but I just keep reminding myself the small risk of complications is worth a few possible extra years of life. The worst that could happen is I regain the weight. The best that could happen is that it helps me take 'reset' my health and lifestyle.

    Clothes?

Wow, you've had a great result. Your new outfits are far nicer.

    Clothes?

Wow, thanks for all your responses. It seems the consensus is that it's better to get rid of old clothes. It seems very drastic to get rid of decades of clothing, but I can see the value of going post-WSL with a postive 'never-going-back' attitude!

    Clothes?

Did you throw out your big clothes as motivation to never return to your pre-weight, or did you keep your old clothes 'in case' you regained your weight? I am tempted to throw away my clothes as I (hopefully) lose weight post-procedure but I am worried I'll need them again in the future. What are your thoughts?!
