  1. I got 5 days of Tramadol but only took it for 2 days then Tylenol for 2 days.
  2. Feel the fear and do it anyway!
  3. I'm down 21 pounds in the first month and I'm really pleased. My intake varies from 400-600 calories a day with three protein drinks. I'm sick of the protein drinks but can move onto pureed so hope to get my protein from other sources now. Be happy with the 20lbs!
  4. Great info, thanks for sharing. I will be following.
  5. I told my immediate family and a few close friends. As time goes on, I'll tell more people. but right now, I only want people who are supportive around me since I'm just beginning my journey.
  6. That ricotta bake that someone, somewhere posted, is very good and satisfied my Italian craving. Portion control!
  7. Weird question... did your feet get smaller when you lost weight?
  8. Glad you are OK, that is pretty scary.
  9. Weight watchers would say to bring some of your own food to nibble on or order a salad.
  10. Keep busy, give the house a deep clean, wash windows.
  11. Did they do any testing before taking you off the blood pressure meds or the cholesterol med?
  12. I too am hoping to get off cholesterol and high blood pressure meds. My yearly physical is in Oct and my surgery was June 11 so expect to discuss it with her then, thinking that will be enough time and weight loss to make that decision.
  13. He's still adjusting to the "new" you? You probably have more confidence and are projecting all the wonderful positive things you are feeling. He'll catch up.
  14. i was sleeved 6/11 and doing well. No real pain so that is good. My real problem right now is getting even three protein drinks in. Three weeks of these and I'm so DONE. I put in a call to my doctor to see if I could start pureed foods to add to the protein drinks. I was walking, but it's been 90 and humid here for the last week with no end in sight so went to Target just to walk around. I got tired quickly and came home. I do seem to need a nap everyday. I get my fluid in, but my calories are only about 500 a day. I dream of greasy pizza. Maybe that's why I like to sleep, ha Generally no complaints. 15 lbs down since start of pre-op diet.
  15. I'm wondering how soon after surgery you were able to start pureed foods and what exactly one can eat pureed.
  16. I can't do the 30 minute timing right now. I'm eating and drinking all day long. I can't drink a whole shake at one time. I'm 9 days out. Maybe when I start eating more solid food I can do the timing.
  17. The protein drinks go towards your total daily fluid intake. They are 11oz each so if you have two per day, that's 22oz right there.
  18. I'm one week post op and feeling good and off all pain meds and finally pooped. 10 pounds down and I feel like I'm onto the next level. My question is what are people keeping track of and how are they doing that? Are you counting calories, measuring food, water, protein, and/or fitness? Is there an app you like best to do all this?
  19. I did too, yesterday! Not much, but it's a start!
  20. I'm on liquids for two weeks then pureed for two weeks. What is the Ricotta Bake and blended tuna and avocado? They both sound so delicious right now. What other yummies can you suggest?
  21. Congratulations! I'm a grandma too and want to keep up with the little ones so I had the surgery. I figure any post-surgery fatigue can't be any worse than the " fat body" lack of energy that I've suffered from for years.
  22. I spoke with the doctor's office. They said all of it is normal, but increase water, walking and take colace twice a day.
  23. Thanks for asking. I'm 5 days out and haven't had a BM even though I'm taking Colace every day. I Sent an email to my doctor this morning. I also had lost 8 pounds before surgery, then gained 5 while in the hospital which isn't coming off. I'm assuming it's basic fluid but I want it gone. I'm older than most of you so things might be slower for me. I'm drinking not quite 3 shakes a day and about 18 oz of water. Not much else. 3 short walks a day. Today , I'm cutting my pain med in 1/2 , adding Tylenol, will lengthen my walks and try some veggies broth. I think I'm doing as expected.
