    Too old for plastics?

I'm the perfect age for a facelift...65! Just waiting for some money to land in my lap!! Go for it!

Weird question... did your feet get smaller when you lost weight?

    Medicare Insurance

I don't know about looking it up, but Medicare paid for my surgery.

    Privacy concerns...?

I'm not posting it on Facebook, but I am telling friends one at a time since I'm not really seeing anyone these days because of covid so want to share my excitement with them.
  5. I was scheduled for April, then covid postponed elective surgeries. I ended up having it done in June, so a two month delay. But when they finally called to reschedule, it was two weeks from the call so I had to scramble to prepare and start the pre-op diet.

    Rescheduled Surgery

All the states are a mess with covid again. I was scheduled back in April for surgery but it got postponed. It was done in June, so a two month delay as all elective surgeries were at the time.

How Often Do You Weigh Yourself?

Once a week, on Thurs and I record it.
  8. I'm wondering what are the covid restrictions for flying and in Mexico?
  9. These are challenging times for all of us in one way or another, the world is upside down. I'm retired and comfortable in life, but found myself caring for my two small grandchildren because of covid. I love them dearly but have come home a few times in tears. It's then that I simply tell their parents... I need a break. For me, balance is key. I also have learned that sometimes, you just have to let things go (household chores, cooking etc) and find a way to have fun with the ones you love, be spontaneous and silly, shake up the routine. Laughter can be the best medicine. And/or talk to your doctor.

    Cold all the time?

I was just going to post about being cold. I've been freezing for the last two days since the weather changed and this is sooo NOT me. I normally like it cool. I hope this isn't permanent.

    Coffee...oh how I miss it

I'm sleeved but started with no coffee at all. At 3 months I started with decaf. I'm now 5 months and mixing 1/2 caffeinated and 1/2 decaf. I have a follow up in Dec and will ask if I can do full on caffeinated. I hope so!
  12. Stunning! I have the severe hair loss going on right now. It's horrible.
  13. All good advice. We aren't professionals, we can only share our experiences. Nothing was better for my mental health and self esteem than watching the pounds drop daily over the first months. I felt like a million bucks. Add in all the pluses from weight loss and I am in a very good place right now. I wish you well.

    Uhggg...2020

I wish I had taken lots of photos, but I didn't.

    Feel like something is wrong

Are you drinking the protein drinks? That was my main staple for the first 3-4 weeks. Adding in eggs, apple sauce,, puddings , cheeses, popsicles and soft foods slowly, then soups and small bites of soft cooked meatballs. And like "wish me smaller", I also have a protein drink daily sometimes 2 if I haven't had enough protein from food.. And I still haven't had boxed cereal , just oatmeal. It seems like Chicken, tuna, beans and such is too soon to eat.

    Today's Dilemma!

As a parent, I would be extremely hurt if my child didn't tell me they were having surgery. Any surgery. A parent may not like some of your choices but I would think they would want to be there for you. And a reasonable discussion of the pros and cons would educate them. Parents aren't just people, no one will love you like a parent. I didn't tell people, but I told the ones I love and love me, but I also made it very clear that this was happening and it wasn't their decision to make.

    guilty

Boy do I feel guilty. I've been so good for 4 months and stayed on program... until today! I offered to make Halloween cut out cookies with my 3.5 year old granddaughter. We had a great time, but I ended up eating 3 large ones, which snowballed into left over pizza. ugh.... I have learned my lesson, NO cookies or pizza in the house at all and I will get back on track tomorrow, but I wonder how I could lose control so easily.

I'm sleeved and don't get dumping.

    guilty

It was spread out during the day so not all at once. I felt full. It was the first time I'd had sweets, no problem.
  25. That is spectacular! And thanks for the real photos of skin. I hope to get that look also! hahah
