My insurance was covered but I had to pay my deductible. When you call your insurance you should be able to ask how much you except to pay to meet the deductible. For me it was 1500 deductible I had already met 200 of that so I paid 1300 for my surgery. Surgery itself was 32k.

I used Dulcolax and that helped me the best. I had constipation for weeks after my surgery, getting enough water and the dulcolax helped a lot. After I was cleared for solids it slowly got better to semi regular movements. Stay strong!

My tastes changed after surgery and I couldn’t stand the taste of premier protein anymore. I tried a few others and now I love Iconic Protein. That’s been helping me get my protein levels back up. I also use Genepro unflavored protein powder and can mix that into anything.

I was out for two weeks and worked from home for two more weeks. Luckily my work is super flexible and I can do my job from home when needed. I wish I would have taken 3 weeks just to completely heal and get down the eating and sipping before throwing in work but it worked out.
