  1. They said a few weeks at least. Kinda sucks cuz it costs me to fly. I'll survive though.
  2. Well, I talked to the office and they suggested an unfill, so I am scheduled with Tom on the 1st. Hopefully this will send me in the right direction!
  3. FINALLY have internet at the new place!!!! I have missed so much!! Mini- congratz on the TT!!!! We have worked out things financially so, I think I will be trying to make an appointment with Dr K over my fall break from school. I may need it under flouro I guess. But I may ask the office first. I haven't been losing at all, but I haven't been gaining either. I was tight back in April, but not too tight, but now I have been bouncing back and forth between too tight, and tight enough. Maybe flouro would help to see what the heck is going on. I LOVE our new place!! It is so much more comfortable than the last one. I am back at work, and school and loving both! Well, that is good for a quick update for me!
  4. I would take it, but the shipping would be a pain. Anyway. We moved today into our new place  and are exhausted! But I am so glad and I really feel that it is where God wants us right now. Everything is just falling into place.
  5. Talk to your doctor about what he suggests. You may be comfortable where you are but it seems that your body is telling you that it has gotten used to the fill, and may need another. Talk to your doctor about doing small fills if you are worried about being overfilled. But now that your loss has slowed down, don't let it stop This is the time to keep the loss going! Good luck!
  6. You will get through the next couple of weeks (at least it was for me) and then you will forget how hard it was right after surgery and you will focus on the next steps. It seems very much to be a discovery of what your body needs along the way. After fills and even sometimes on it's own your body will need something different. It is most definitely a good experience learning to listen to your body. Good luck on the beginning of your journey and welcome to LBT!!!
  7. I totally know how you feel about the slow weight loss. It has taken me over a year to lose this much. Just try your hardest and remember that everyone is different! Slow is definitely good, and you will be grateful for it in the future. Good luck!
  8. Well, i am going back and forth again about getting a fill. The weight is dropping again, now I am just 4 lbs up from where the challenge started. I think it must have been from my TOM, because I had gained about 8 lbs!!! I was so scared that all of a sudden no matter what I did I was gaining. I am eating more now, but not too much, yesterday I had about half a small taco for lunch and was full. We shall see, guess I will wait it out just a bit more. How is everyone? You guys must be busy, cuz it's awful quiet in here.
  9. Idk how I missed this before! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! That is so AWESOME!! Can't wait for that either!

ditto! but this would be me watching GH
  11. A lot of the weight you lose before your first fill is due to the post op diet that most people go on. Personally I was on Clear liquids for 3-5 days, cream soups/pureed foods for 2 weeks, and then mushies and back to solids the next 2 weeks. It is a diet just because you can't go from surgery straight back to eating normal because it can damage your stomach and you need the time to heal. Hope this answered your question!
  12. I am so sorry that this happened to you! It must have been so frightening and painful! It is very wise advice to give to people to not let things go, and to check right away if things aren't normal. Thanks for your story! I hope things get better soon! <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
  13. I am going to respectfully ask to withdraw from the challenge. I went from super super tight with TONS of reflux and coughing at night to where I am now, which is wide open. Weird.... anyway I have gained but I don't want to say how much. For my birthday present my mom is buying me a ticket to Denver so I can get a fill in a couple weeks. YAY! Anyway, off to do B-day stuff now and enjoy the day and try not to think about how much I have gained! Congrats to all you losers!! (nice that losers is a good term here)
  14. I've been having a hard tome losing lately, and have gained a bit. Going in for a fill in the next couple of weeks though so that should help. Just thought I'd give the thread a bump!
  15. I don't think that just saying don't do it is fair or an answer to the op's question. And you might look and see that the OP DID get the band after all, so it is no longer a current worry
  16. So I woke up this morning around 3 with a sharp pain in my lower left abdomen. I have no idea what it is but it hasn't gotten any better. I thought it might be a hernia but i haven't done any heavy lifting and it hasn't popped through the skin. might be ovarian cists? if it doesn't get better in a couple days i am going to the dr even though we don't have insurance. i am just confused as to what it could be.
  17. I would call your dr and ask for their opinion. Most dr's are very supportive, especially when you are actually hungry and looking for food. The chest pain is usually due to not chewing enough or taking too big of bites. But go ahead and call to see if they would recommend a fill or not. Always a good idea to trust the dr. Good luck and congrats on losing so much so quick! Took me almost 6 months to get where you are!
  18. We move in on the 1st of september, so I am assuming that is when I start as well I must say that I am very excited for this change.DH and I are both registered for school, and I am getting more and more excited. I only have to take 6 classes to graduate, so hopefully I will be done with my associates by the spring! I am taking an english a computer class, and calligraphy for my fine art. Funny how none of my music classes count for a fine art requirement. But Calligraphy is one of my hobbies, so I am excited to learn more about it. I have already planned a garden that I want to start in the spring since I will have the space. Can you tell I am just excited about this whole thing?!?!
  19. Well at least I didn't gain this week, but I am down0. lame
  20. Ok, so i know that Dr K is willing to do fills under flouro and that it just costs more. But I am really thinking that I need a fill as I have gained 4.5 in the past 6 weeks. I thought I was too tight, but even when I was too tight I was slowly losing. Do you guys think I need to do it under flouro to be sure or should I just get a fill and hope that it works? btw DH is very much against me getting a fill because some days I can hardly eat still.
  21. I have been banded just over a year now, and am finally getting some pics up. I have around 65 lbs. It's not coming off as fast as I'd like, but at least it's coming off.
  22. Best part of the apartment though is that I will finally have a washer and dryer!!!!!!!! YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!
  23. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :w00t::w00t::thumbup::w00t::wub::w00t::eek::w00t::eek::w00t::thumbup::w00t::ohmy::w00t::w00t::w00t::eek::w00t: I just got an AMAZING job!!!! I sent an email and resume to be a nanny in exchange for a 1 bedroom apartment, because things have been though for my DH and I right now. We went to the interview tonight at 7:30 we liked them, they liked us, and she called an hour later to say they were cancelling the other interveiw tomorrow and that they want us to move in during the 1st week of September!! We will be living rent free in exchange for wastching 3 boys age 7,11, and 16. VERY well behaved boys. Don't really need a nanny except to help with homework, make sure they do their chores, and run them around to activities. 3-6 pm during the week, and one night a week until 10, helping them keep up the yard and snow removal. The apartment is literally 3 times the size of our place right now!!! And it is in a VERY nice neighborhood! I feel like I might need to buy dome nicer furniture now LOL!! Also with this arrangement, my DH could just work part time, and go back to school!! This day started off really crappy with a huge migraine, and going to the dentist (for the first time in 8 years) and has ended so wonderfully!!!I just had to share my excitement!! I feel like we are actually getting the break we need!!!
