Congrats!! Gotta be a great feeling! I have been stuck in the 240's for months even though I had a fill in Jan. I am hoping I can get one next month at the latest. It is very frustrating. I feel like if I could just get into the 230's that I could do this thing.

Plateaus suck, but you will get there!

I really do not believe that is possible. I have NEVER heard of such a thing! The band is placed around your stomach, nowhere NEAR your airway. If you are really concerned about this, call your surgeon, and ask. But you cannot believe everything you read on these boards unfortunately.

Well, got my fill on Tuesday, and I feel like it is already helping! I am also back on track with making protein a priority. I had a really frustrating day though. First I get to Denver, and Super shuttle makes me wait 45 minutes, and then I find out that my 1:45 appt is really at 2 because Dr. K had surgery in the morning. So my 2:15 pick up time isn't going to work, and they refuse to send someone else to pick me up! So by the time I got to the medical center, I was stuck trying to find a way back to the airport. They were so sweet at the office and let me use a computer. I ended up having to take a cab. But I used Union taxis because they only charged abt $43. Anyway, after all the fuss, I ended up being done with my appointment at 2:12 so the pick up time would have worked anyway!!! AAARRRRGGG!!!!:thumbup: Well, at least I have my fill now, and am going to be losing again. Dr. was very good about making sure I wasn't filled too much, because I was really stressed about having that nightmare happen again. Now I feel like I can handle my fill without any problems. Thank goodness for fills!!!

You guys are looking great! Thought I would post mine. I haven't lost a lot this year because of an over fill, but I am down around 65 lbs. Not NEARLY as fast as I wish it would go, but at least it is going.

just as a note. Your starting weight is what you weighed as of 1/1/2010. Also, PLEASE make sure not to change anyone else's statistics when you adjust your own. Thanks guys!

Congrats on your loss! But I would find out if your surgeon places the band with a fill in it at surgery. If so, you can go in and get it unfilled. That would give you a better chance at being able to eat without pain, especially as you are healing. I am so sorry that you went through this, but am grateful that it did not kill you. Definitely call your surgeon to ask about the unfill. Good luck!

Your starting weight is the weight you were YESTERDAY the 1st day of the new year. This challenge is only going to track this years weight loss. So I changed your stats to match. Now when you need to change your current weight just quote the last person to post, and change your stats, erase the quote markers and post. Should work.
