I didn't lose any weight pre-op though, so that's probably why those first 24 pounds came off so quick. I'm now at the point where I would get while dieting and could never get past. I'm hoping to lose about 5 more by the end of the month fingers crossed. I have heard that the more we need to lose the faster it goes off.

    Hi Everyone,
Great to hear that I'm not alone! I was sleeved on 12/30/19. I have been down almost 25 pounds since last Thursday. I started puree stage then and since, then the scale has gone up a little then down. I know that my body is trying to adjust I'm sure. I am eating puree 3x a day, about 2 oz of cottage cheese with a little bit of peach puree, scrambled egg, chicken, a little spinach puree, and light Soup. I am really struggling to getting more than 48 oz of Water. Very tired of Protein Shakes, ugh and a wee bit of nausea now and again. Been walking around the block, doing light arm and leg exercises. My next Dr appt is in 3 months! He told me to start on regular food at week 4, no more puree. I eat slow and sometimes can feel it, other times I don't feel restriction at all, depending on the food. I'm so worried about stretching out my pouch! I am averaging about 500-600 calories per day.

Sleeved 12/3/19 as of today I’m 33.2lbs down and went down 2 pant sizes and I will meet my doctors weight goal for March 3 in 5.8 more pounds to lose.
Best decision I have ever made!!!

I'm a month out from surgery and down 20 pounds. I've got two more weeks of puree to go, then real food! Down a pant size as well. Protein Shakes are my friend - I have to get 89g in every day. Calorie intake is about 800-900 a day.

I'm down over 43 lbs from sleeving on 12/2/19. Trying to keep calories below 800-900. Down two pant waist sizes and shirts from XXL to XL...so I'm ecstatic so far.

    Hi there,
I'm new to this too, just got sleeved on 12/31! I would love to find a buddy to help me through. I don't know anyone else who has had surgery. Good luck on all of your weight loss!

As of today, I'm officially down 27 pounds. I'm still pureeing my Proteins, have had trouble with Fiber. My plan allows for applesauce (sugarfree) and sweet potatoes, so I'm hoping adding them into my diet will help. Been also having trouble getting enough Water. I drink water and Propel now, so I think it's helping. I have eggs, chicken, cottage cheese, fat-free cheese, turkey, peas and sweet potato. I keep craving a juicy hamburger, sans bun, with swiss cheese, onions and mushrooms....

My weight before surgery was 343 and Tuesday I weighed at 314 so a total of 29lbs gone since Dec 16th.. I’m at a weight loss stall for about a week and half now but still staying focused on my goal.

My post op dr moved me to soft foods Jan 7th.. a week early because of my good progress.. so yesterday was my last day and I’m on regular diet now my issues are getting enough Protein in... Water was an issue but I switched to propel water and doing a lot better

Thanks for your encouraging post. Sadly, I've tried all different BCP's, Natural Progesterone Cream, Metformin, Acupuncture....However I haven't taken Clomid due to my extra weight. I'm thinking I may give that a try once I'm down to 215/200 or 1 year post-op at least. I know that I sometimes ovulate, and my OB-GYN thinks I have had several chemical pregnancies. Gives me hope to know that others struggled and still got pregnant.
Good luck with your pre-op, it took me a year to get the courage to make an appointment, and was approved in three months, but waited six due to work/grad school/time off etc. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster three weeks, but I'm down over 25 pounds so I can't complain.

My OB/GYN thinks that I have had PCOS since I was a teen/puberty.
I have 4 children. This isn't me trying to boast. I'm currently on Mirena. All of the times I got pregnant I was on the mini pill. Progestin-only no other hormone. I've only conceived between these weights. 230lb to 270lb.
I'm not sure how uncommon it is for that to balance someone out. During blood work, Progesterone and Vitamin D are the only levels that ever showed up alarmingly low for me.
So my OB/GYN recommended Mirena instead to make sure I don't have an accidental pregnancy or trouble with continuous bleeding and sporadic periods.
I feel slightly embarrassed and erroneous saying I'm technically infertile. Without the mini pill, I likely wouldn't have been able to have children.
I wonder if seeing an endocrinologist specifically for fertility-related reasons would help just to raise whatever is low. I was also on 500mg of Metformin with my last baby so that may have also been at work with the progestin. I hope I'm not being offensive to you or your OB/GYN. Maybe I was just a rare case that isn't similar to most PCOS hormone imbalances. So this wouldn't be helpful at all. I just thought it might be worth a shot later on.
I'm only done with the first stage of my insurance for Weight Loss Surgery. I don't have a surgery date yet. I was just told by the weight loss clinic that my file was processing this last week and I'd hear back in 2-6 weeks.
I hope everything goes well for you and the weight loss is enough to right everything naturally and that you find something to prevent it in the meantime if that's what you are trying to do. ❤️

This is good to know! I don't have any cravings for sweets, or bread or junk foods. But I do have cravings for juicy steaks and roasted chicken...must be my body craving protein! Also broccoli, I can't wait for broccoli. I guess craving healthy foods is a good thing right? I'm just hoping that my stall will stop soon, so I know that I did the right thing with this surgery. Even though I know I did, it's just a new normal that's hard to get used too. This site has helped me so much. Good luck on your continuing journey!!

Yesss!! Especially being newly sleeved. The mental challenge is the hardest. My Dr. was just like go with it. You WILL lose weight and the way you eat will always be this new way. He said he doesn’t even care about the Weightloss this soon because it’s not important. What’s important is following the plan. I can honestly say I’m not perfect with the plan, but if you think about it you’re going to drop weight. I was almost 2 weeks stalled then bam 2lbs down the other day and 2 yesterday (I almost didn’t weigh today for fear I was gonna be stuck at yesterday’s number). The mental struggle is real!!

That's awesome! 31 pounds is great! I haven't weighed myself in a couple days, trying to not obsess LOL. I too have lost in my feet, but mostly in my arms and legs. I keep trying to get all my Water in, but inevitably by bedtime, there's still more to drink!! I'm so sick of Protein Shakes. Keep up the good work!

So glad to know I'm not alone! I'm going through this right now. I feel slimmer, but the scale hasn't moved. I'm doing the program, probably could drink more Water than I am. I literally have been worrying thinking maybe due to my PCOS I'm going to be that person that loses only 25 pounds and that's it. Or else maybe my body is in starvation mode and doesn't know what to do. It's hard when I'm doing my best and really trying to not have that reward of a lower weight...I keep reminding myself it's my health I'm trying to get back, not my figure. Very mentally challenging at this point.

We're surgery twins! Congrats on your progress. I am struggling with my water and Protein still. Currently on puree stage as well.

As of today I am down 31 lbs so that's a win. Although the only place I see the loss is in my feet...i keep telling my husband to look how skinny my feet are. Wish the loss could've started with my chin(s)!

Good luck and continued progress to everyone
