We're surgery twins! Congrats on your progress. I am struggling with my water and protein still. Currently on puree stage as well. As of today I am down 31 lbs so that's a win. Although the only place I see the loss is in my feet...i keep telling my husband to look how skinny my feet are. Wish the loss could've started with my chin(s)! Good luck and continued progress to everyone [emoji2] [emoji2]
One thing I brought that was helpful (outside the other items mentioned above) was an eye mask for sleeping. Oh also I am so happy I brought large pillow from home that I used along my left side for support- that was the side my larger incision from which they removed the portion of my stomach (so the more painful of the incisions) and also the side that my IV was placed. I had a terrible go if it with IV lines and they ended up having to do ultrasound guided placement of a line higher up above my elbow which made it critical for me to keep that arm straight - hence having that pillow was a life saver.
Thanks everyone for all the encouragement and support. I am checked in, gowned up and ready for some meds. Lots of love and luck going out to all my surgery twins today. [emoji170][emoji171][emoji170][emoji171][emoji170][emoji171]
I just got my call last week and all approvals have come through. I already met out of pocket max earlier this year due to a knee injury so my WLS Team are being amazing and found a way to get me in before end of year when my plan rolls over. So 12/30 is the date... New Years present for me. I have been working towards this for awhile but it is still such a shock that it is actually happening. Setting the date really took it out of the hypothetical and dropped it right square into reality. I wish all you December folks the best.
