I didn't have to do the clear liquid diet pre-op, my surgeon has her patients to < 1500/calories/day for two weeks pre-op. I did lose some, but I don't remember how much. I also, of course, lost post-op on liquids for two weeks, but again I don't remember how much.

The first couple days is tough, but it does get way easier once your body gets used to it . You are doing great.
Also, the amount of weight one loses really varies and depends alot on starting weight (among a myriad other things). To put things in a bit more perspective, you *could* look at percentage of weight loss instead.

This may be a really dumb question but...
I'm starting my preop clear liquid diet today. I have sugar free Jello cups, but everything im reading online says no red coloring for clear liquid diets. Does that mean I can't eat the strawberry/ cherry jello??

I am new here but I am having the sleeve done on 1/7/20. I start my clear liquid diet on 1/31/19. I'm SO ready!!
