I had my pre-op appt. & things are all a go!!! I think I was afraid that I had not lost enough weight or my congestion would be a problem, but my surgeon was super supportive & positive. I only have to do an 8 hour fast, but I'm thinking of a 3-day fast before. She said that the more my stomach is empty, the easier it will be and I'll feel better. I did a 2 day modified fast before my pre-op & it made me feel less nervous about fasting and gave me confidence that it was doable. I feel so much better about the experience & am getting my stuff ready for afterward. Pre-op 12/24 Surgery 1/7 Dr. Chu @ Kaiser Fremont, CA

I’m so sorry it was so rough! My primary did not support it either, then she went on leave. After finding out I’d have to wait another 6 months for her to approve, I switched my primary doc & was immediately approved. Congratulations & Good Luck!

I forgot to say that I am having the sleeve.

My pre-op is tomorrow, 12/24- Christmas Eve! Surgeon is Dr.Chu at Kaiser Fremont, CA. My surgery will be 1/7 & I’m so psyched! I have my vitamins, muscle milk, broths & am ready! I’m afraid of the first 1-2 weeks because I hear they are a bit difficult. Fingers crossed!!!!
