  1. I’m 10 months post op and I STILL have to take small sips. It takes me a full work day to drink my smaller jug of water(it’s maybe 32 oz total or 24 I’m not sure) but I have to take small sips or it’ll hurt really bad. Hang in there! Congrats btw !

    Weight loss

Had my sleeve done November of 2019... so far I’m down 60 lbs.. I feel discouraged and also feel like I haven’t lost anything.. I know I have, but mentally I’m not there yet... anyone else have issues ? Or is it just me ?

    Working out again question.

I tried CrossFit and my body was letting me know it was a nope.. I started having an odd pain in the center of my stomach (I wasn't doing crunches ) and so I figured okay maybe I need to start out smaller.. I think there's a bootcamp fitness near by, haven't checked it out yet though. I'll look into it if it has different levels for sure! Thank you !
  4. I was sleeved 11/15/19, so I'll be 7 months post-op soon.. ive had a longer recovery road than normal but recently felt I may be time to get into fitness...I tried CrossFit and my body definitely let me know "hey this is too much"...I almost feel like I failed simply because I wasn't able to push myself but had to listen to my body. Also wasn't aware of how intense CrossFit was. Anyways, any pointers of how to begin exercise without injuring myself? I know I'll need to ease into it for sure.. Sick all the time

Hi, thank you for commenting . Going through this is rough. Ive learned I'm definitely one of very few, that has experienced any of the difficulties I've encountered since day of. I went to my primary care physician today and they did blood work to check everything they possibly can. The nausea daily, and/or vomiting, has made me depressed. So I'm hoping and praying they can figure out what's going on. I'm sorry you're still dealing with the nausea! Its awful! Thank you again for your kind words!

    Sick all the time

I'm going to ask plenty of questions at the Dr today. I'm miserable! Thank you for commenting on what that's called.

    Sick all the time

Food makes me nauseous. I thought it might have been something I was eating so I drastically changed my diet to zero carbs and zero sugars etc etc. And I'm still getting sick. I'll just feel extremely nauseous, or just get the edge to throw up.
  9. I'm 6 months post-op. I'm miserable and depressed, because I've been nauseous or throw up at least once every couple days. I don't have sugar in my diet, or carbs, and I take my vitamins daily , I drink water.. I had to start drinking protein shakes again because I'm not hungry for actual food, and yet I'm still sick 98% of the time... I have an appointment with my surgeon next week but they've done blood work twice and it was normal ... [emoji24] This isn't normal and I'm miserable. I cut out everything I thought was making me sick.. and yet I'm still getting sick.. am the only one ?!?! Ugh Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

    Electrolytes

Thank you ! I will get those. I honestly didnt think about the whole dehydration thing.. but considering I had 85% of my stomach removed and can't absorb much , it should've been a thought in my head 🤦🤦🤦

    Electrolytes

I was sleeved in November 2019. And I try to get fluids in but plain water makes me sick, so I add flavor and that'll usually last about one bottle of water before I start feeling sick on water again.. and I know that being dehydrated can cause many issues and one of them being nauseous because the body is lacking electrolytes. So I wasn't sure if that could be causing it and maybe my body just isn't absorbing much... Idk but I'm miserable

    Electrolytes

Is it possible that my body isn't keeping electrolytes?? I feel sick daily and my surgeons office can't figure it out ... Is it possible to become dehydrated quickly after bariatric surgery ? Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

    Foods and dumping syndrome

So glad I'm not alone ! Yes! My body will do it with almost everything . And it's not an everyday thing either. Some days I am super sick from anything I eat.. and other days I feel fine and it doesn't happen. And my Dr doesn't know what it could be. Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

    Foods and dumping syndrome

The only time I don't have the whole 'body kicking it out' type thing, is when I eat grilled chicken. My surgeons nurse took blood multiple times and nothing came up unusual and said my symptoms were dumping syndrome. Although, in self research, I found I had the same symptoms as reactive hypoglycemia. I've had either extremely rare difficulties, even since I had surgery in the hospital, or I've had unheard of symptoms that no one can pinpoint with a sleever. It's awful and I feel lost to be honest. Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app
