    Week 3 Post VSG Troubles

Not to alarm u, but it should be your blood pressure. They put me on meds since it was high during surgery but those meds made it extremely low. Finally saw my nurse practitioner and she was pissed and took me off them all I mediate my. I’m feeling better but still off. Turns out she calls me next day saying she had someone go back in Irvine samples during stay at hospital and found things leading to an adrenal mass or tumor. Gotta get scanned and if it’s there possibky surgery. Laparoscopic. I don’t wanna do this at all but ya turns out that’s what’s going on. Blood pressure 😕 please see your team ASAP. I felt like **** for 3 weeks straight. Second they took me off the meds the next day I felt much better. Like I said I still feel off but it’s because of the adrenal mass they believe.

I love you... lmfao thank you so much. U just saved me a lot of stress but I’m so sorry u went through the same it does suck so much haha. But awesome! I’m glad to know what’s up. Like I said I drink almost if not more than 64 ounces a day and I drink Gatorade sugar free with electrolytes but the big thing is I have hardly any protein intake. I was getting like 25 grams of protein max after I started feeling weird and it got worse. Today I actually ate and I started feeling better already. I’m guessing once I see them, explain it all, get bloodwork done and all that they will have a sure answer. I’m just happy it’s somewhat normal and will start to get better. It’s made the physical aspect of the surgery nearly impossible.

Now that I know how to use this I can respond properly haha. So ya I have a cuff at home. It was low, and now it’s back to slightly high. Which was normal for me. It’s been fluctuating to say the least so yes I will be sure to report back here Tuesday. I’m glad to hear tho. I think it may be ketosis since I haven’t had any sugar or carbs in time now and my body needs to get energy from fat now. The reason I think it may be that is because bad breath on top of being fatigue and week is part of signs of ketosis. It will go away it says but it’s been a full 2 weeks of feeling this now so I hope it’s something else where I can fix it on spot haha. Thank you so much

Hey so I am drinking plenty of fluids. I actually have been drinking so much water I know it’s not fluids. Plus I talked to them over phone and saw my doctor last week. He thought it was blood pressure meds too. But yes it isn’t the warred and tomorrow is Monday. I can wait another day sadly lol. If u need an intake, I’d say anywhere from 2 and a half to 3 and a half water bottles a day, not including the other liquids throughout the day like a popsicle or some G2. So around 50 ounces if not A little More a day
  5. Hey guys. I’ve been all over this website and it’s been helping a lot, but I have some complications I’d like to go over before I see my NUT and nurse practitioner this Tuesday. Originally I thought my new blood pressure meds had been making me feel faint and week, but now I’m thinking it’s a deficiency of either iron or protein or even both. So bad to where I was doing great walking after surgery up until I started feeling like this. Now I hardly do anything besides lay down. I mean I still try to walk around the house or do whatever I can but even standing up I feel faint and have a racing heart. It’s just frustrating. I had my surgery 17 days ago if that helps. But now the more this goes on the less I am eating. Im trying very hard to get in protein but nothing’s cutting it. Eggs were doing well but ever since the other day anything I put down is a struggle. I want to get shakes down because it’s the easiest way but I take a sip now and it comes right up. I think it’s just being on the liquid and soft diet that’s making me like this. Hopefully the more i advance it all comes back into play. I don’t even want carbs or sugars, I just want to be able to sit down and eat some meat or whatever and that’s that. No getting sick or anything. I know that’s a lot to ask for only 17 days out and I CAN wait. But I need to find some way of getting in protein right now. Tuna was another thing I reuse but the mayo and the tuna itself was just uncomfortable to eat. I can’t fathom getting behind anything puréed so this is gonna be tough 😕 And before anyone says anything about it, please don’t mention puréed food. I just cannot do it. I’ve tried and the second it hits my mouth I gag horribly. The same way I would with the shakes. If anyone has been through the same please tell me it gets better I’m only 20 years old and weighed 375. Now I’m down to 315. I love the results, but I feel so week and sick
