You're a NJ Devils fan....me too! :) I honestly feel like I would be further along if I didn't have the pinched nerve and I could work out more. It's hard for us not to judge ourselves or compare ourselves to others who've lost so much. But we're doing ok. 32 pounds is amazing!

I'm a season ticket holder! Morning the loss of Hall yesterday. This year has been horrible. I know I shouldn't fell bad I ONLY lost 32lbs in 9 weeks sounds pathetic but just frustrated to be in a second stall. So excited to meet another Devils fan " gotta support the team" ~ David Puddy

  2. My hub has had them. Extremely painful! His urine needed to be strained and they do test the stones to figure out what stared them. His was Tea. He normally drinks unsweetened iced tea. At the time this happened he was heavy into green tea. Everyone is different and a urologist is the best place to go. Glad it passed for you without problems. My dad was hospitalized with one last summer that needed to be broken down too.

  3. Walk walk walk. That's what I was told. The gas releases through your skin the more active you are the better you will feel. I hope you feel better had bad gas pains after my gallbladder surgery it was awful. Made me determined not O have it after this surgery. Do you still have your gallbladder? Back pain can be attributed to gallbladder or kidney stones too. 9 days out is a little unusual for gas pains.

  4. Congratulations on your new blessing! Sometime seems off, I had at least four if not five pregnancy tests 4 weeks before and including the day of my surgery. Preadmission testing, urinalysis before my endoscopy, surgery clearance from my primary care blood work, and the morning of my surgery all within those 4 weeks. Thank goodness all seems ok with your baby.

  5. I have BCBS. I too was at 40 BMI. I was not allowed to lose or gain any weight during my six month medically supervised visits. I was weighed in every month. I started the process in March, approval for surgery was not submitted until September for October VSG. If I was not the same exact weight they could have denied me (and have done so with other patients previously according to my dr). I had no pro op diet at all just liquids only the day before surger.

Every insurance plan is different even within the same provider. Call your insurance directly and get the answer from them directly since they will be the ones to approve the bills when everything is said and done. Good luck ihwith your process!

  6. I experienced horrible gas pain in my shoulder after my gallbladder surgery so I was extremely concerned about this one. I was prepped beforehand that the best way to avoid gas accumulation was to walk.

The gas actually releases from your skin. I was up immediately after surgery walking the halls of the hospital. It made a huge difference, no gas, and really helped me with my healing. Just add a little more distance each time you go. I thought I was never going to be able to handle the walking that quickly, but it really was not bad at all.

  7. This time of year is always the most challenging for everyone who is so watching their weight. That being said, I keep saying to myself, I can't have certain things right now, but I will again. The health benefits far out way the challenges. Next year you will be able to have all your favorite things again but have good health and awesome weight loss! Hang in there, you got this, have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
