I know this is an old post, but I do you them. I was banded on 3/26/08 and it was the best thing I have ever done. The office is great and they work with you. Again, this is a great doctor and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

I was banded on March 26, 2008 and as of today I am down 40lbs. It seems slow going, but I know it is better that way. Way to go everyone!!

Hi everyone I am new to this board and website. I was banded on March 26th in Valley Hospital in NJ by Dr. Greddis. I am so happy I had it done. I have my first fill on 6/10 and alittle nervous. Not sure what to expect from it. So far I am down 24 lbs. I have been walking, (need to do more). Just wanted to touch base with people to see how they are doing and how long it took to get the weight off. I would love to hear from people with any idea's for foods, excerise and life in general. I am sorry to hear that. :thumbup: Please do not get discouraged. Just think when you are able to get it you will be even more ready for it then you are now. I had the same issue with Insurance. I had a date with one doctor for 10/19/07 and then two days prior to surgery they decided that they were not going to cover it since the Dr was out of network. Then I found the Dr that did it for me in March and everything went on from there. It only took about 4 months after that. It will all work out for the better. Let me know how it goes. My prayers are with you and your insurance co!!!

This is the best thing that I could have done for myself. I am sooo much happier :ohmy: I can run around with my kids and everything. I have my first fill on tuesday 6/10. I feel bloated today since I just got my period. But it will pass!! Good luck with the vist let us know how it goes. :cursing:

Thanks for the reply. I know there is another support meeting with susanna on 6/19, I promised her I would try very hard to get there. With 3 kids it gets hard. I have my first fill on 6/10. Not sure what to expect. I am so glad that I did this. I have been walking and Susanna want's me to start on toning also. I just got a pilates tape last night I will try it later. Hi, my name is Jenn I have 3 kids, (9,6,4) and have been married for over 10 years. I had the lapband on April 26, 2008. I am down 22lbs so far. I seem to be in a rut, but I have my first fill on 6/10. Not sure what to expect from it. Can anyone help me. I have Aetna Ins. It was about 6 months. I had to go through all the pre-testing. But once that was done it went very fast. I would love to hear from anyone else. I live in sussex county, NJ. not that far from PA. I started at 312 and now weight 290. I would love to get down to about 190. LONG WAY TO GO. I have been working out, but I have to up the workout. Hope to hear from everyone. :crying:
