How many calories are you guys getting in per day?
ChubRub replied to ClintoftheRocks's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I shoot for 600 per day. Sometimes I might go up to 800 if I eat out, etc. I'm 10 months out, and have reached goal, but would like to drop a couple more lbs so still in weight loss phase. -
Finally on home stretch for revision to bypass

Good luck!!! I never had a sleeve, but love my RNY! -
My favorite snack is greek yogurt. So many different flavors! I usually have one for breakfast, but if I don't have it for breakfast, it usually ends up being my 4pm snack to hold me over if I'm having a late dinner.

Sometimes I just get the blues...
ChubRub replied to WishMeSmaller's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm so sorry that you are going through so much all at once. Since you like to exercise and you need some new clothes, how about treating yourself to some compression workout leggings and new sports bra? Get them in a size smaller than you are right now, b/c you will be able to squeeze into a smaller size now, and then they will last you longer as you continue to lose weight. Since you'll be back to working from home, look at the bright side that you don't need work clothes right now. I also work from home during Covid, and just live in workout gear which is not only comfy, but b/c it's so form fitting, it makes me feel good about myself. As for friends, maybe you could organize a GNO via Zoom??? Or if you are comfortable to meet in person, you set the date and the place and send out a group text inviting everyone to dinner, etc, and see how many can make it. Try to make it a monthly thing, whether in person or on Zoom. Hang in there!! HUGS!!! -
Did anyone experience vision problems Post op?
ChubRub replied to Lovely2020's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It can also be from low vitamin levels. Hope you can figure it out. Take your vitamins just in case! -
My water is 51% and when I click on it it says that the normal range is 45-60. I don't know if there's a correlation to how much water we drink though? It says it's blood and lymph fluids, etc. I wish I had a better answer for you!

Getting Ready for Surgery
ChubRub replied to Nini Blu's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll also add chapstick to the list! You really don't need much though. You will have surgery, then pretty much sleep on and off for the next 24 hours! -
Excited for you!! Good luck!!!

Are you going back to the same surgeon for round 2? Or someone new?
-
The day after surgery, I will have a post-op visit with a nurse, to check my dressings, etc, and make sure everything is okay. Then the day before I fly home, I have a post-op visit with the surgeon. They will provide me a cellphone number to contact the surgeon should any complications arise. If it's a wound, I can send pics, etc. My thoughts are that if something does arise, I would text the surgeon, but would also just go to my PCP rather than flying back down to Miami.

Woo Hoo!!! Looking great so far!! Fingers crossed that you continue to improve and feel better!

Refried beans? You will only be able to eat a couple teaspoons anyway, so maybe just share with someone?

I had little to no pain after surgery, but fatigue lasted for a few months. I went from 2 naps a day, to 1 nap per day, then finally around month 3 or 4 I had full energy again. Take it easy and nap when you can!
-
Woo Hoo!!!! Congratulations!!!
-
Hang in there!! Hope the worst of the pain is behind you soon, and the pain meds are doing their thing!!! It will all be worth it!!!

Pre op diet brain fog

It’s from lack of carbs. In the Keto world they call it the Keto Flu. Your body will adjust as it gets rid of the glycogen. Hang in there! It will all be work it!! -
Getting rid of old/large clothes - too soon?
ChubRub replied to LAJ23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Get rid of them!! In the future, after you are at goal, if you gain a few pounds and your clothes feel tight, it will be incentive to lose the weight. Having bigger clothes as a Plan B, means that you have a Plan B. No Plan B! LOL!! Only Plan A which is success!! -
14lbs a month would be on the high side, but the good news is the honeymoon period lasts 12-18 months! A monthly tally of my weightloss is in my signature, if you are interested! Best of luck to you!
-
Awesome!!! I hope you'll come back and share photos!!! Best of luck!!!
-
I took 2 naps a day for the first month, then 1 nap a day for the next month or so! Give it a little more time. Good luck!!

Hit goal today! (Loose skin pics)

I love it! Here’s the tag from the pants in my photos. XS Athleta on clearance! Still overpriced in my opinion, but I deserve it! Lol! The entire clearance rack was XS! I’m not truly an XS but can manage when it’s stretchy yoga pants!
