This app was referred from my surgeon. I have been overweight my whole life. I have yo-yo dieted forever, lost regained consistently. If there was a diet or book, I tried it. I have been  looking into having the gastric sleeve for several years. I have many family members and friends that have had the surgery done and been very successful. I checked into it several times but the cost of it was way more than I could afford. Once I turn 65 in August I researched it and found that Medicare will pay for the surgery. I went to the surgeon and they said yes Medicare would pay for it so I’ve been working on the preop requirements  to you have the surgery. Last Friday I was finished with the pre-op requirements and a surgery date was set for October 28. I am so very excited to have the surgery done. I am a Realtor, wife, a mother of two stepdaughters and a daughter six grandchildren and one great grandchild. My life has changed so much over the years with the weight that it is a struggle to do my job as a Realtor, to go out, my social life has decreased because I’m just embarrassed and it’s a struggle to walk without getting out of breath. It is so very embarrassing.  I’m so tired of being overweight and the struggle is real and embarrassing moments of getting into a plane, go do different activities that causes me embarrassment.  I avoid  going  to different events because thinking about the walking and being out of breath and just not being  able to have a good time and so self-conscious. I look forward to enjoying  my life, getting myself confidence back, to look good in my clothes, to feel healthy and be healthy and just enjoy life. The restrictiveness of being overweight is more than a lot of people could ever understand and emotional and physical emotions are real.
