  1. I am 6 days out and had the same issue. Thankfully the program prepped us that this could be a possiblity and gave us options. Muscle Milk original is lactose free. I hate it but it is better than the stomach cramps while I look at other options. I have been living on that and the Protein2O Water that someone else mentioned. I can get both at my Walmart. I have a message in to the surgeon to see if I can take Lactaid so I have more options. You mught want to give them a call to discuss.

I tried to get the Protein Water today at Walmart and couldn't find it. I had to leave because I ran out of energy. I was going to try and drink those instead of so much of those awfully sweet Protein Shakes. I am 5 days post op and don't know how many more I can choke down🤢

  2. I'm 5 days post op and had the same problem. I was so thirsty. I had to learn to take a tiny sip, put my bottle down, count to 15 then take another sip. Another thing that really helped was adding half coconut Water, a quarter Zero Powerade and the rest water so I would get electrolytes. I am able to get 45 oz water and 1 Protein Shake in so far. My struggle is that I can't stand the sweet Protein Shakes. 1 week left until soft food. Looking forward to eating fish again. This has been a journey but I know I will be ok.

  3. I'm 3 days post op after having a sleeve done. I have horrible heartburn and burping. My doctor gave me Protonix and told me to take Gas-x chewables. It made a huge difference. It's worse when I eat or drink fluids. I'm told this will pass and I can't wait. Greek Yogurt seems to cause less discomfort than the Protein Shakes. The good news is that I'm down 27 lbs! 13 lbs were pre op and I'm getting a little more than 38 ozs in.

  4. I'm doing pretty good. I'm nervous. Not for the surgery but I respect it's a big life change. I am so excited to get my old body back before my accidents. I think I have almost all of my meal prepping done for after the surgery. My biggest struggle is everything is sweet and I'm not a big sweet eater. Thank you for asking.

  5. I am scheduled for 11/18. I did everything I needed now just doing the diet required. I have lost 13lbs in ther 2 &1/2 weeks so far. I start the liquid diet next week and am dreading that lol I have been making my own chicken Bone Broth instead of store bought broth. I am struggling with the shakes because I'm not a big sweet eater. Has anyone found any liquid diet things that make it a bit easier? I'm very happy to have found so many people going through the same thing. I'm so excited to hear about your journey's.

  6. I just had my consult and started my nutritionist appointments for the Gastric Sleeve. I have shared my decision with a couple of friends. Today was the first time a friend stopped taking to me because of it. She is VERY fit and skinny. It made me wonder if she was my friend because I was fat. I decided I'm doing this for me and don't need anyone's approval or permission. Man it still hurts though. I'm sorry that happened to you.
