ME TOO! How's your liquid stage going?

Yes, that's my schedule too. Clear liquids first 2-3 days after surgery & full liquids for 2 weeks after that.

CONGRATS & CHEERS TO A SPEEDY RECOVERY! Started my 1 week full liquid stage yesterday, clear liquids Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Surgery Tuesday, August 27th!!! Please keep us posted with your recovery whenever you feel up to it : )

Hey lady! I feel & join you in your EXCITEMENT! I have a conference call with my dietitian on Monday (she wants to see my journal and help me with my first stage of the pre-op diet). I meet my supervisor and a few co-workers on Wednesday to go over my 3 week backup plan. Not telling them what my surgery is - don't need any judgment from work : ( Started all my vitamins a month in a half ago so that's down packed now. Just a little nervous from reading the posts of the sleevers who crossed over in the last two-three weeks regarding the gas pain : ( NEVERTHELESS - WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS! What time is your surgery Monday? Will definitely lift you up in prayer and know your surgery will be a total success! This time next year we all will be posting AMAZING transformation photos!!!!

Yes, you can put it in just about anything. I haven't tried it in eggs (there is a good protein balance in eggs already) yet but I have put it in ricotta bake/soup and didn't get a bad taste. Triple zero yogurt has about 16 grams of protein as well as 20 grams of protein in premier clear drinks. I have a good supply of that now. There is a buffalo chicken dip/avocado & spinach dip I love at Publix's I intend to eat a little of during the mush stage that has about 7/9 grams of protein as well. I have been scoping out different items for past 3 months. Make a green smoothie and add protein powder!! That's a great source of protein with spinach, a few frozen berries & hemp seed for energy! Keep us posted with your progress love ; )

CONGRATS to you on the 29 pound drop!! AWESOME! As for the protein intake, try putting some protein powder into your yogurts, cottage cheese and soups (attach is brand I use). I also purchased several broths, soups on this site that included a good bit of protein. I'm sure more sleevers will offer other suggestions shortly. Keep losing and I will be joining you soon!!!!

You will be Ok. We sorta expect our bodies to act up a little because we have taken more than half of it's stomach away. I'm so proud of how you made your own adjustments with the liquids!! Yes, go watch Dr. V's videos - he has so much knowledge regarding what you are going through. Keep us posted please.

I though the same thing because I only became obese due to a slip and fall accident in 2017. I gained over 60 pounds, which took me over 35 bmi and I developed severe arthritis and degenerative disc problems in my lower back. These Comorbidities quantified me for surgery. If your approval documents were submitted by your primary care doctor, you have a bmi of 35 with 2 Commodities - I wouldn't worry. Just go through your insurance process to complete final approval : )

Yes! I purchased Dr. V's book and asked my asked my surgeon tons of questions from his book! I need to get his recipe book! I watch his videos every Tuesday's - AWESOME! Trying to get my cousin to go with my to one of his seminars. Waiting to see if Atlanta will be on his schedule soon : ) Will be checking up on you lady - KEEP WINNING/LOSING!

I ran acoss this video by Dr. V that I though would be helpful for you. He talked about water/protein & what we can use to get them in, how much & things we can do to switch up food choices. I even wrote down one of his go to recipes that I will try this weekend, Kale/tomato soup! Hope you are feeling a lot better today!!!

Good morning - I totally agree with your suggestion regarding reviewing Dr. V's videos. I have learned so much from them and can't wait to use many of his techniques! There will definitely be something regarding "staying hydrated". I will suggest also trying the Premier Clear protein drinks too. Please keep us posted! Three days until my clear liquid pre-op diet - YESSSSSS!

It breaks my heart that you are going through this. Seems like you are figuring it out very well though and your pouch will be healed soon. I would definitely request a new dietitian : ( Please keep us posted with your progress.

I will be joining you August 27th as well! Fortunately most of my family and boyfriend will be there with me. Surgery time 7:30am - pre-op diet starts Tuesday August 20th! CONGRATS and speedy recovery to all whose surgery was this week!!!
