  5. How much protein, how many calories, and how many meals do you eat in a day?
  6. What calcium and iron supplements do you take? Have you had a bone density test done yet? I am 4 years out and osteoporosis runs in my family so I am concerned.
  7. I am just wondering what made you realize that you needed a revision to your roux-n-y surgery and what did that revision entail?
  8. While I know that I haven't stretched my pouch, I find myself craving chocolate often... Anyone have any suggestions for stopping or circumventing these cravings?

I had a roux-n-y procedure. It went very smoothly! I lost 174 pounds in about 11 months and have kept it off since surgery in 2015

    Dr. Khalid O. Shebani

I had my surgery in 2015. I am feeling wonderful. I am maintaining a 174 lb loss. And enjoying life!
  11. Dr Khalid O. Shebani easy surgeon for plastic bypass. During the initial consultation, he discussed the options and my desired results and commitment to the new lifestyle. We ca to the agreement that a full gastric bypass would be best for the results I was looking for. Once the surgery was scheduled, Dr. Shebani’s staff were kind, efficient, and seemed just as excited as I in explaining to me what would happen at each new juncture. Once I had jumped through all the hoops and was cleared for surgery, things moved very quickly. Dr. Shebani himself performed my upper go on prep for my surgery so he knew if there was anything he had to worry about during the actual surgery. That gave me even more confidence going into the roux-n-y. He was just over all fantastic!
  12. I had my surgery performed in 2015. The surgeons of Advent Health were superb. The surgery was performed with precision and speed. I was up walking after my leak test and home the very next day. I was given medications to endure my stomach muscles did not try to work while they were healing (no squeezing and pushing food along). The staff sent me home with packets of information on what to eat for each stage of recovery as well as recipes and portion guidelines. I was also given a journal/calendar to track food/exercise and appointments along my new lifestyle/ weight loss journey. I felt like I had this huge support team in my corner the whole time. All I had to do was pick up the phone and there they were. Additionally, the weekly support group meetings were so helpful. I was able to give and get support all along my journey. Advent Health Ocala really goes out of their way to.care for their patients! May that is why the were given the title of Bariatric Center of Excellence!
