  1. Not in Richmond but, im getting banded in Hampton, but my doctors in Newport News.
  2. wow, that sucks....i was 5'4 273lbs. with no co-morbidity and they approved me. ou can always appeal. There are a lot of people on this site that had to appeal and then they approved. It always helps to have ur PCP write an appeal letter along with ur appeal.
  3. I got my date, im being banded June 11th!!!!
  4. June 11th is my surgery date. Last time i was put to sleep, i had a laproscopic appendectimy. The nurses that were in the OR said they had trouble with me breathing on my own. This has sort of scared me a bit. But this is only one of my worries. Do they always wait til your asleep to put a tube down ur nose? How bad does it really hurt after surgery? I have had an appendectimy and a c-section so im hoping it doesnt hurt more than those things....anyways, any advise woud be great for my health.:wink2:
  5. Finally after a long weekend, i called them and they said the best two words ive heard in my life, "your approved!" YES! So excited, hopefully i can get in for the surgery soon!
  6. Wow, thats great, im still waiting for my insurance to approve me but hopefully i will hear an answer soon....good luck with ur surgery!
  7. My WLS office sent my lap band in for approval with Tri-care prime. Some people are saying they got approved right away and some people are saying it is impossible to get approved for lap band with tri-care. My nutricianist said being 5'4, 273 lbs. with no co-morbidity i should get approved but reading some of the resposes on Tri-care is a little discouraging. Hopefully things will go well.
