    Any September Sleevers?

I have learned that anything with cayenne pepper, or tomato sauce on it will kill my stomach. So, I'm getting experimental in the kitchen. I'm having difficulty getting a 1/2 cup volume of solid food twice a day. It doesn't take much to fill me up. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any September Sleevers?

I'm 7 weeks post-op. I started regular food last week. I didn't expect this part to be difficult... I can eat vegetables, they barely need to be steamed. I'm sure I could eat them raw and my stomach would not get upset, I am also eating peanuts and walnuts. But everything else doesn't settle well. I vomited the first time on Wednesday. I went back to soft foods. I know I'll get there eventually but it is frustrating trying to figure out what your stomach will, will not, or when it will tolerate something. I think we all set ourselves up w/ unrealistic expectations, more so for women, give yourself a break and pat yourself on the back for getting this far. Count al the Non Scale Victories. We got through surgery. We survived protein shake purgatory. We started to eat pureed foods. I got to have eggs and no I am off restrictions! It's a win, after win, after win. I ate peanut butter on a whole wheat English muffin. Keep your head up. The light is at the end of the tunnel and before you know it you'll be basking in the sunlight and possibly in a very skimpy bathing suit. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any September Sleevers?

I had the shakes for the most part the first 2 weeks, sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, and plain greek yogurt. The second stage I hate part-skim ricotta cheese. I tried cottage cheese but my stomach rejected it with one small bite. Greek yogurt (lite&fit by Dannon) 80cal., pudding, outshine fruit bars, applesauce, blended vegetable soup/minestrone (took out the pasta), pureed pinto beans. I still had to have 2 shakes a day in week 3 and 4. I just started on soft foods on Thursday. Tried plain scrambled eggs. I felt like I ate cement. I talked to 2 people who work at the clinic and had the sleeve and they suggested scrambling the eggs with ricotta cheese and using mashed up avocado and salsa. So I'm going to try that tomorrow. They said the stomach wants the texture of smooth foods. She thinks adding the avocado with trick my stomach with the texture and the cheese will add moisture. I get filled up really quickly. But I'm not having many problems. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
