  1. Hey girl! I'm glad you posted here, I have been having a hectic time. I moved back to the states and found out for almost a year and a half i had no fill. My doc missed my port 3 times!!! I have gotten 1 fill since and I am going back for another in 2 weeks. I am back at my starting weight almost, and it's been hard, but I'm back, I'm here and I'm going to fight for it. Our 2 year mark is coming up and i don't want to feel like a complete failure. I am trying to eat better and exercise. Hopefully I can get motivated again, and hopefully i will finally get some restriction.:(

  2. lol...funny mazie....yeah stores like that intimidate me...they always have, but at our GNC there is a nice old lady working there, so fortunately i don't have to worry....but guys are such (insert 4 letter word of choice here) sometimes....

  3. I have been thinking A LOT about what kinds of diets I have done and what success (or not) I have had. I really think I do a lot better with structure...when something says you eat this, in this portion, with these ingredients etc. I have seriously thought about doing nutrisystems, joining weight watchers, or doing ediets again. But they all cost so much money and we have such wonderful resources here on the board.

I was thinking it would be really cool to poll all our resources here on the board (our wonderful members) and create a meal-plan from user recipes. Then we could create our own thread and follow it together. People can submit recipes (complete with portion sizes etc.) and together we would come up with a monthly menu and shopping list. Then we could encourage each other and follow our menu together, and maybe have contests and exercise included some how.

This thread is just to poll interest in the idea. If I get enough interest then I will start another thread to begin putting it all together. So please let me know what you think!

  4. Well, I was thinking about doing it for awhile to get a jump start with my band, but I was afraid of a few things that you guys have seemed to confirm here.....the food would taste horrible (the vote is out on that one), I would spend a lot of money and it would just sit in my cabinet, I would do it with success, but once I stopped it would all come back. It is really expensive and its not like I can continue to pay that much for the rest of my life, I supposed it would be cheaper and easier in the long run just to figure out a reasonable diet at home.

    TOTAL $ 189.27

If you notice, I paid $189.27 total with shipping and tax for 6 shirts and 2 bottoms. I did the buy one, get half off the other, and I used the coupon where if you spend over $225 you get $75 off.(I think they have if you spend $75 you het $25 off and if you spend $150 you get $50 off. I use these coupons all the time) I really don't think that's bad for quality garments. And in case you didn't know, if you take care of the Lane Bryant clothes, they sell well on ebay. When I shrink out of this size, I will resell them and use the money to buy a smaller size. :biggrin2:

  6. She should go back to the doctor ASAP. If the doctor put her on medication then she needs to take it the way it was prescribed. It won't help her if she doesn't take them properly. The doctor should be notified that she isn't taking the medication prescribed, if she feels that the medications are not working for her, then she should let the doctor know so he can switch her to something else. Good luck and keep us updated. I will be thinking of her.

  7. Don't be so freaked out. I ate a doughnut sometime in my 3rd week and expected it to get stuck and barf it back up. I didn't so I ate a few more. Horrible...I could have shot myself. 3 fries is no biggie, but at least you know you shouldn't do it and try not to let it happen again. Its a huge change to make and we all slip up now and then.

  8. Hey there,

Don't be so down on yourself. Your doing great so far. Remember the avg is 1 to 2 lbs a week. so a 1.68lb avg it is perfect. You are right on target. Remember you don't want to loss to fast any way, give your body time to catch up with all the changes. Congrats on that so far, its excellent progress.

  9. My period started just before my surgery and I was so embarrassed. :blushing: I wanted to reschedule but the doc said no problem and wanted to go ahead. And I had to take off my underwear when I got into the hospital room. They just put some absorbent cloths under me. When they removed the catheter there was dried blood all down my leg. EWWWW. But it wasn't painful and every one was professional. No one said a word or gave me any funny looks. The MALE nurse who removed the catheter even offered to bathe me....I about died. I told him no my husband would take care of it.

But seriously, thats weird to have such an irregular period. Did you let you doctor know about that?

  10. I think that is really petty and childish, to think adults would exclude any one from something called the Sunshine Club. I am assuming this was a weight loss club at work? Some one should tell those ladies they should have left all the drama back in High School and grow up. And a friend who doesn't support you and stick up for you in tough times isn't a very good friend any way. Consider yourself lucky you finally found out and you can move on. I use to head up several gift exchanges here on the board, maybe it's time for a new one.

  11. I've been looking forever for something. I am terrified of buying something, but I have a huge vacation planned this summer and will need one. I have 2 fat rolls on the top of my inner thigh. It looks like I have a butt in the front..I mean literally, a little butt on my legs.:) But a lot of the skirt swim suits don't cover down far enough to cover that. So I am looking into what I should get, plus I do wear a DD, but I can't wear under wires (they bruise me) and a lot of suits don't give me enough support with out under wires and the girls fall out...:smile2: yeah that happened once...thank god I was in Portugal and going topless is normal. Any way, if any one has any suggestions I'm all for it.

  12. Hum..I actually like Lane Bryant. Yes they are a bit pricey, but I have never had a problem using their discounts or coupons. You just have to pay attention...ie last week it was buy one pair of slacks and get 50% off any shirt. But it had to be slacks not capri or skirt. I actually have several nice outfits from their and I love their Houston pants. I wear a different color to work almost every day. They really flatter my figure. No one would guess I wear a 22/24, they always think I'm like a 16/18. I also really like their new jeans, I wear the red ones and they fit a lot better than any other jeans I have owned. I feel like their clothes are more contemporary ( I am 27 after all) than other plus size stores. I'm sorry you feel like you got ripped off, that sucks.

Ready - a lot of their clothes have to be dry cleaned or washed in cold Water you have to read the label carefully, so far thankfully I haven't h ad a problem with shrinking, as for the buttons, thats why they give you an extra button, in case one pops off. :biggrin2:
