Many people here have had their surgery done in Mexico with no problems. I would call the Mexican hospital back and insist that they send something over, even if they don't keep their records, they can make a new one for you. Then I would make an appt with your PCP and show him the knot again so he can refer you again. Make sure you let him know what the surgeon said the last time, that it was just inflamation...and obviously it was much more. I feel for ya, it sounds like things are tough, but I'm sure you can figure out a way. There are a few places on the web where you can search for fill doctors...there is one that a lot of people here recommend. www.fillcentersusa.com Good luck.

It sounds like you have had a rough time. But its great that your so close to goal! I would kill to have restriction on an empty band! I have 3cc and I need to go back and get another fill. Congrats on your success so far.

Darn, I would have liked to see some responses to this. Even though I haven't lost that much, my port has started to poke out a little bit, and its been a pain in my side since i had surgery. If I get a little bloated or if I eat a little to much, or if I walk a lot or...you get the idea...my port starts to feel like its poking my ribs and it hurts! I mean to ask the doc about it next time I go in to see him. Let me know what your doc says.

I believe that A1kiou is VERY close to that 100lb goal..... I would be watching for her! :biggrin1:

There are a lot of people who will say that you you shouldn't do it and there will be a few people who say you should if you want to.

My 2 cents, you can taste all kinds of new foods with restriction. There is no need to get an unfill. A bite or 2 of something is enough to get a taste and still enjoy what your eatting, with out undoing all the good your band has done, and with out busting your diet.

It's my understanding that broil is when just the top element is working and the bottom is off. What temp you cook at depends on what your cooking, how thick it is how long it might take to cook etc. Most recipes usually give a temp to cook at, whether its baking or broiling.

Baking is when both elements are on, bottom and top. So you assumed right.

there was a discussion about this a few weeks ago, search for banded bracelets and im sure it will come up. there is a member here (Izikesmom) (sp?) who sells them for $4 I think. They are purple and say banded and beautiful. Also I heard if you ask Inamed they will send you one of theirs for free blue and I don't know what it says.

I continue to disagree...it is not my job to teach kids manners and values, my job is to educate them in the subject that I teach. The rest is up to the parents. I didn't choose to bring those lives into the world, their parents did and there for it is totally their responsibility to see to the welfare of the children. They need to raise their children with their values and morals. I might have a completly different take on life then parents might have for their children and who is to say I get to dictate how the kids should be raised. Thats why we have so many uneducated kids now. Because teachers are to busy raising kids for their parents instead of teaching them the basics like math and reading and language arts. If parents were held responsible and did their jobs you would see a lot more progress in schools.

When my grandfather was in school there was 1 teacher for grades 1 - 6 and she delt with all the kids and did a great job. Why? Because the kids were well behaved and had manners and they knew if they didn't do well in school they were in trouble when they got home. 1 teacher could deal with it all. Today it's impossible. Kids know if they get in trouble at school they can run home and mommy or daddy will sue the school district.

hey there, I had the same thing, i had great restriction for about a month after my surgery but then just as soon as it came it was gone. I have had one fill and will be going back for another soon.

Your missing my point. Teachers SHOULDN'T be required to be anything other then a teacher. Parents need to take accountability for their children. Just like Jachut said she helps her son exercise and eat properly. Thats what parents should be doing, not sending their kids to school expecting teachers to teach them manners and basic good sense. These values should come from home.

Hurray for Californina and the Guvernator. But here in Florida, they have cut almost everything except passing the FCAT's. The history class is only US history and science is a joke.

I don't know what part of Florida you are in, but I taught in Polk county for 3 years and my mother has taught there for over 8 years. I do not think that science is a joke, nor do I agree that history is just US history. Teachers do the best they can with in the restraints of the rules they have to follow. I think that often times teachers have to spend more time teaching students basic manners and social responsibility that the kids should be learning at home. This often distracts from true learning but teachers are forced to because these days we are supposed to be mothers and fathers and babysitters as well.

Well basiclly, people sign up and pm me with their info. On the assigned date I will draw names and send pm's to every one giving them their GG (ghostly gifters) At that time you are free to purchase or make (many people have made beautiful hand crafted gifts) any gift that you would like to send to your GG. We usually keep it around a $25 limit. But some people spend more and some spend less. It's the thought that counts and sometimes the cheapest gifts have made the most impact. Then we start a thank you thread and people can post photos and share their wonderful gifts and thank their senders.

What is the dollar amount on this one? I am going to Disney and would like to possibly pick something up there and get involved. ~Mandy

I was to give a big thanks to Vickie, she set me a beautiful Bracelet that says teach on it with swarovski crystals and it came along with a teachers poem. The poem says:

wow it looks like most docs say no coke. I know I shouldn't drink it but i do every once in while. I'm stocking up on crystal light while I'm on vacation to bring back with me.

Instead of beef or pork or hotdogs, BBQ some chicken with sugar free BBQ Sauce. (I like the breast the best) Also veggie kabobas are great! Buy some wooden skewers (almost any grocery store has them near the BBQ section) and slice up squash and zuchini and carrot and onion and peppers, put a little garlic poweder and brush with olive oil. Very tasty! It only takes a few min to grill them and get a nice crunchy but cooked texture.

What do your doctors say about drinking coke?

Mine told me if I HAD to have some, drink it flat at least. He preffers that I drink no coke of course but said flat its ok.
